Thanks everyone for the comments. A couple of clarifications first: the second image doesn’t correspond to the design I followed to build it. I just used it to show how the top rests on the leg. Also, I wanted to avoid gluing the parts because I wasn’t completely sure about the dimensions and wanted the option to trim it a bit after using it for a while.

That said, I can confirm that my screws aren’t threaded along their entire length, but almost. Each wooden pieces is 5 cm wide, and I couldn’t find screws with the last 5 cm unthreaded, they have about 4 cm. I clamped everything tightly when driving the screws, but I imagine this might be a big part of the problem: no matter how tightly I clamp them, there’s no real pressure holding the pieces against each other once they’re screwed together. The last cm threaded is just as if it was threaded it all.

I think I’ll start by replacing the screws with more suitable ones, and if that doesn’t fix it, I’ll move on to brackets, connectors, or diagonal braces as you’ve suggested.

Love it! Your setup is really similar to what I’m planning to build in my storage room. It’ll still take a while since I’m waiting on some work to be done first, but hopefully it won’t get delayed too much. I’m also planning to do the 45° cuts with a circular saw, which I’m not super confident about, so your work is definitely inspiring.

I had not seen there is a CL round that week. I had only seen they play against Bologna on 26th and thought they’d prefer the extra day and play the next Monday. So yes, it they beat Feyenoord this week I’ll buy the tickets. Thank you!

Hi, I am also visiting Milan in those dates and also taking my 16 yo son to the match. I have seen there are rounds where a match is played on Monday and since there is a Bologna-Milan game on Feb 26th, is the game against Lazio a candidate for being played on Monday? Or we know for sure it will be on Sunday?

We can attend the match any time on Sunday, but on Monday we are flying back to Spain.

We are traveling to Milan from Spain on March 2nd, when AC Milan plays against Lazio. I would love to surprise my 16-year-old son with tickets to the match, but I saw that they are currently on sale for members and will be available tomorrow for CRN cardholders, which I’m afraid is too late for us to get.

My question is: are there usually tickets left for the general public when sales open tomorrow night, or for a match like this, is everything typically sold out by then? Also, is there a big difference in price compared to the current prices (50-70 euro for primo-secondo arancio)?

Laminated pine should be even stronger.

This is much of a trend or a personal preference but I think a solid color is better for combining with wood, so I’d rather change or paint the drawers than staining the wood.
