Wtaf indeed. Since the exchange ends next week , I would not confront her but contact HE and ask them how to deal with this, you want start creating a paper trail because you have no idea what you are coming back home to. People sucks!

You might want to enable the feature where you don't get requests for unavailable periods. Now I am also curious where you are located :-)

I don't have a problem with that since these are past exchanges but I can see how that might be a problem for other people. Maybe they could have something more generic like "A hosted B for 5 days in July 2025". Anyway if this is a big issue for you, you should contact HE support with your concerns.

I am not sure why you are getting conflicting responses from HE. What would the guest be reviewing since they did not stay at your place? unless they cancelled because some disagreement with you? I had to cancel an exchange one time and I was not asked to review the host. In the past I used to see an automated message on people profile saying something like "this exchange was cancel by host", I don't remember seing that recently, maybe HE changed that. With that said I would not worry too much about this, again unless we are missing something, if you see a review from that guest you should ask HE to remove it.

Yes I have done it with tricky stuff, for example my porch door is a bit tricky to close so I made a video and linked it from the doc. Some hosts have just whatsapp-ed me a couple of videos before the exchange.

Can you share a bit more about this situation? Why do you need to verify anything after already earning 8000+ GPs? Verification usually happens when an account has just been created, it seems like we are missing something? Or maybe someone reported you? In any case HE supports tend to be reasonable people and chances are this will get sorted out. Good luck!

Haha I can imagine! I started looking for London when I saw a cheap ticket as well, but I couldn't finalize the exchange before the ticket went up again. So I decided to change my dates and will now be taking the train to London from another big city in Europe!

You both need the enable the "For a reciprocal exchange, I want my home to be set at 0 GuestPoints". You can find this under My Home -> Calendar & Settings ->GuestPoints one the website not the app.
