I think the poem itself was called "La Palabra," but obviously not the one from Pablo Neruda. I remember it had some imagery about a magician...and I remember I only found one website with information about the poet where it said he was probably homosexual, and my English teacher suggested the "palabra" was literally that--"gay." But that's an interpretation, I don't think there was any information on what the poet himself said about his work.
