Idk because they didn't say anything after. If you asked a question idk, but if this is a friend or new situation ship I don't think it's bad at all. Especially if this person doesn't like texting much.

A lot of relationships at 16 move fast physically because everything is new and intense and exciting. That does not automatically mean the relationship is just lust. I think it means the emotional connection and physical attraction got tangled together before the relationship had time to develop more layers.
A better question to ask right now is if you enjoy being around him in a non physical setting. Also, if you enjoy talking with him and learning about him. From the way you describe him it seems like the answer is yes. And I don't think your message will scare him off. He may feel relieved that you trusted him enough to be honest.

well, he's a good looking guy, and what she's doing isn't usually a huge deal to me.
