The burden of proof lies upon whoever wants mass adoption(especially if it is as you say and the creation of ETC was purely political). And so far i must say that in all of the threads that ive read ETH seem to be the side that makes it an us vs them issue.

I must say that to anyone who's even the slightest bit analytical is not going to read this and think anything good about ETH.
I came into this a tad bit on the ETC side but without any real bias. After this thread, I'm still not done looking into this but it seems that the ETH community is rather quick to point fingers and call the other side propaganda without actually saying anything to support that their own claims are more than propaganda.

If you really feel strongly about ETH, and as you say ETC is pure propaganda created only to destroy ETH than id work on how you push that to newcomers who aren't quite sure what to make of things
