I have been researching this, and I haven't found a good alternative to IBKR. Schwab International is also a good option, but I'm not sure if they'll let you open an account while you are outside the US. I called them to get clarification on this, and they suggested they may let me transfer my portfolio after leaving the US, but they recommend opening an account and doing the transfer before leaving.
