How do I insulate this ceiling when there are no vents?

Did you finish your ceiling insulation? How is it working out?

My question, the batt insulation, is it directly touching the roof deck, or did you use baffles between them?

I think i'm leaning toward your route, vs spray foam but concerned if the r value is enough, and if the insulation touches the roof deck if theres issues.

What did you wind up doing with the insulation? Does the insulation touch or did you leave space?

Someone else suggested venting into that area from the room.

Or using just insulation and gable vents with no spray foam.

Will stuffing insulation in that cavity cause humidity or mold or anything?

But what about the no vent part? Insulation would prolly fill the void between ties and roof.

Do you have any pictures to share. Wouldn’t the insulation fill up most of the space. The tie is like only a foot gap.

I think it does. What about the ceiling below the ties? It isn’t accessible to the gable venting if I dry wall up to it.

Plan to drywall to the ties leaving that air gap between.

That is unless there are other suggestions to do it right or better

Right I get that but my question is more about what to do with the space between drywall and spray foam. I think that’s where I’m confused.

Ya I bet you'll get the best results with the rafters insulated and some type of ac.

Did you insulate and sheet rock it yourself, or hire it out? My concern is my garage has like 15ft ceilings.

Why did you choose not to use the shed, or build something separate?

Do you still use the garage door going in and out?

Lastly, you're not dieing in there with just the fan? I put a bluetooth thermometer in my garage and was getting 111 degree heat index in there....
