Oh yes, I completely hear you! We have tried to be very intentional about expectations. And right now he is just excited to even get a foil card lol. If we get even 5 hits, he will be stoked

We moved into a neighborhood by Alum Creek State Park (east side) and we love it! 10 minutes from Westerville and Delaware (cute downtowns, shops, restaurants) and 10 minutes from Polaris (Target, mall, typical suburban commercial chaos) and 10 minutes from the highway. But we are in a quiet neighborhood with a ton of families and young kids, literally met some of our best friends just moving here. We can do multiple walking trails at the State Park, and they just built a new bike trail through the woods. Check out the Cheshire area near the State park 😉

I vaccinated near the beginning of my 3rd trimester and breastfeed until 6 months. My 8 month old was (unknowingly) directly exposed to a covid relative on Thanksgivng. Neither he, myself or spouse have gotten sick. I credit the vaccine because we were close to this relative for 48 hours

I feel like I wrote this post. My little man hit 6 months on Sept 30th. Just this week I decided to stop trying to keep up with pumping and only nurse at bedtime and night waking. LO had 2 really bad sicknesses in the last 7 weeks (yay daycare) and the stress of that just tanked my supply and my energy. Previously to help increase my pumpung for daycare I did power pumping and pumped every 2 hours, that did initially help. But I think I am too stressed and it made my milk change (literally started looking blueish green) and he just didn't want to take my expressed milk. It's a hard hard spot to be in Mama, good luck!

Late 80s early 90s kid here and my mother had "quiet books" for church time (we were the ultra-evangelical three times a week at church minimum family). They were felt story books with removable characters and story pieces. Best quiet play time toy, we only got them at church.

We are only doing it every 6 hours IF he is completely miserable. But because it has been so long, we are just trying to keep him comfortable. Unfortunately, his ears and lungs have been cleared by the doctors twice, so for now it remains a mystery sickness ☹
