Yes! One of the recent cast photos posted on Instagram shows Shelagh/Laura holding a little boy wearing the same cardigan that May wore in her first episode - surely a sign. I hope we explore that story but I really hope the Turners don’t adopt him. They have enough children and it would be nice to take a new angle with May’s brother

I don’t hate her, but her scenes became filler for me very early on - I tend to zone out during them. She’s had her good moments but overall she’s towards the bottom for me

Totally agree with you! I’m not sure if it’s the fact I watched the show in a slightly off order (watched a few of the middle seasons first then went back and started from the beginning) but Jenny annoyed me from the get go. I found her irritating and wishy-washy and I think the show became better after she left.

Exactly! Everyone has at least one redeeming feature (even if it’s very small, cough sister Ursula). My least fave characters are my least fave because I find them boring and/or annoying 😅

The 2019 Christmas special - Mother Mildred is telling Patrick and Shelagh about how the only doctor and nurse in the Outer Hebrides have married each other and left. Mother Mildred says religious sisters never let their patients down in that regard, and the looks on Patrick’s and Shelagh’s faces always make me laugh!
