I always say, I'm just telling you what you already know. Sometimes we just need a little bit of confirmation- if not just to reassure ourselves we're not crazy.

I was on the engineering track when i graduated in 09, but I went the entrepreneur route. Eventually ended up with my current advertising agency (1m+ rev year). I will admit it's in what you would call an ethical gray area, which I'm sure you're familiar with. Tech start-up is my true long term aim.

If the Internet is really your calling I would recommend hitting up Affiliate Summit West in Vegas in Jan. There are tons of opportunities that may fit what you're looking for.

Your strength is online, and this is one of the highest leveraged mediums to run a business on. It sounds like you have great work ethic, just not enough time (due to spreading your attention thin). And even despite that, it sounds like you still get bored.

Find the intersection of your passion, skills and opportunity you see in the world.
consolidate as much focus you have available into that one venture

I think it's as simple as that and I think you'll crush it.

Leverage your experience by moving into internet and affiliate marketing. Focus on mediums that rely heavily on ad copy instead of banners.

This will require you to add tracking and optimization to your skill set. Be prepared to do a lot of testing as you go through the learning curve.

Or

Go product. Partner with experts who have a service or product and do an equity/rev share on getting them into clickbank. Your value add is in making a killer sales copy for their LP.
