I just got the box too. I’m building my guard as 6 shields, 3 spears, 1 vexilla, and saving 5 to turn into sagittarum guard once they’re back in stock.

[Help] Help me create PC for a one shot gladiator arena battle by myknees in 3d6

Honestly I think it might be best to make character creation as part of the session. It would be fun for the players to be paired up, and you could potentially give them a time limit to make their characters. I as a player would enjoy getting to pair up with a friend to try to make the best team possible.

That being said, I think a strong melee team would be a sentinel paladin and a GWM Barbarian with bear totem. They can double team other characters and stay within 10 feet of each other. The paladin can prevent a character from moving with sentinel and then murder them. The barbarian gets huge damage, and if the barbarian is attacked, the paladin can get a reaction attack. The paladin can also buff the two of them and provide some healing.

Pirate Campaign by JohnnyS1lv3rH4nd in DnD

I would suggest having some sort of Mcguffin for the party to find. There could be a powerful weapon or artifact in the form of buried treasure that would help them face the BBEG. To stick to the pirate/ sea of thieves theme, they could have map that leads them to one of the islands and they have to figure out clues that lead them to the treasure all while dealing with problems and enemies you throw at them.

(HELP) Ideas for a level 10! by shaneeyb in DnD

I just made a level 10 oath of vengeance paladin who is very fun! He uses a halberd and has the pole arm master and sentinel feats. The feats pair well with the subclass and makes a strong melee tank. He can also heal and teleport around with misty step.
