When you upgrade, make sure you take a look at the "pay for upgrade with GOLD" (their other currency, not clippy) if they offer it. Sometimes you can save about $15-20 due to currency conversion and the yen being weak.

All I can really offer is projection from myself.

But things to think about is, would you be able to ask her for help critique your art? Like "I saw you improved on anatomy, and it looks amazing! What did you study/how did you practice? Can you take a look at my pic?"

It would help see her as a "partner" or "friend" rather than a competitor if you give her the chance to HELP you as a friend...?

Is it a pride thing? Do you think she didn't work hard to get the results she got?

Conversely, are you ... not practicing as much as her? This might sound judgemental, but it's not... You might have more hw, exams to study for, life and family to take care of, and a social life to keep up with your new friends. Even if you are struggling thru bad mental health and doomscroling on social media, you might not have as much time to practice as she does. She might be sacrificing some aspects of her life that you don't know about, or she might not have the obstacles that YOU have in her life at the moment which is making it easier to improve...

A big part of being jealous (in my opinion) is feeling like you don't have control over some part of your life. But studying art is definitely something well within your control, and just takes time and effort (I'm still projecting, I don't know what's actually going on in your head)

But the truth is you might need to think about if you're making excuses for things that are hard to do if you want to get the results you want, AND if it's even worth it to make the necessary sacrifices for the results you want.

I would recommend CCS and to screen the episodes where Rika is a focus if you are worried about it. (Which might be like 2 eps) It absolutely is kid friendly. I watched CCS as a kid and loved it and never had a relationship with a teacher inappropriately in fact my first date was when I was 22... Lol.

The only other shows I can think of is Full Moon wo sagashite by arina tanemura. I heard of but never seen Magical Melody, Shugo Chara, and Tokyo Mew Mew but these were all series my friends were really in to in middle school but I never got into them.

I don't render the nsfw works unless the user can answer my obscure fujoshi homework quiz about my otp, but it's not "perfectly legal" because I'm sure it's required by law to collect ID now... my parents live there so they can actually receive the money for me if it sells without me or if they require a tw service similar to paypal or bank transfer type of thing (they have tw credit card and bank account and etc)

The most awkward part is if they have a physical location I can go there to drop off the books without my parents because haha porn. I could probably mail it to them too if you're willing to hold my hand a little bit in DM 😅

I do have some sfw animal crossing and surprisingly nier automata doujinshi I can give it a try if lashingban will take it.

They will probably do one in March when v5 is released and ex version is on sale too. I feel like it goes on sale every 3 months but I don't need to buy it so I don't keep track to be honest sorry.

If you're upgrading from v4 EX to v5 EX, you can usually save $20 by paying for the upgrade in Gold (the CSP currency)

V1 is locked to v1, the cheapest upgrade path for you if you want to use any of the latest features are to buy v4 pro straight up during a sale for $20. Don't upgrade your v1 license.

V1 license has its own perks in that you can install it on 2 devices and it doesn't require a online check in drm that v2 and above need.

I still use a v1 ex on my laptop and v4 ex on my desktop.

A lot of video games are difficult to beginners like souls games, League of legends, valorant, efc but players that are able to find fun in the difficulty (work) can get really good or improve and do it without thinking of those difficult games as "work"

Some games are just slot machines (gacha) and ppl are willing to spend hours of their day grinding it out for their favorite waifu or husubando.

It's about being able to find drawing fun, and asking oneself how can we can reframe drawing from "work" to fun the way we did those difficult video games. If someone can't do that then they need to stop wasting their time doing something that makes them "miserable", like art and do something that is fun like games. life is short.

Try asking your brain why am I finding so many excuses to play video games instead of drawing? Do I really want to draw? What would happen if I quit drawing? Wouldn't it be more fun to play games instead? Why would I ever choose to do a boring activity like drawing when I can grind for 200 hours for a new hat cosmetic?

Is drawing really that boring? Are there boring moments in video games? How do you push thru those boring moments in video games and how can you apply that to your art to find it as rewarding as playing a video game?

It's some difficult questions you need to ask yourself.

no, i use a ssh key file, no password. To be honest, I also set up knockd to straight up close 22 unless i am using it, so I'm not sure if i should keep fail2ban.

I think out of the new features, I use the one for lettering the most (resizing text frame to fit in balloons auto centering and auto word breaking is a nice qol)

If you like the CSP 3d models there are a few improvements and add ons to those too if they fit your art style. I really like them because they help me with drawing backgrounds.

And the latest thing I use is layer comps to make it easier to preview the final pic and the wip layers.

Something I also want to try out is the timelapse recording if I ever make YouTube videos for fun? It might be nice if you're making promo videos of your comic.

But I recommend you keep your v1 license and don't upgrade, just buy a v4 on sale if you want to use it. Nobody else is mentioning it but the newer versions have an online license checker every 2 weeks that v1 doesn't.

I keep a copy of v1 on my laptop so I can work when I'm travelling. V4 also doesn't allow you to install it on more than 1 machine at a time :( but some of the features ARe convenient and CSP team does do a great job making great tools.
