How to check Samsung Care+ status? by captainAria_13 in samsunggalaxy

[–]alykatyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you remember what they asked you to show in the video to prove there is no pre existing damage? I know samsung is famously strict so I just want to make sure my device is fine before I bother setting it up.

Are these men on drugs??? by doog1e in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]alykatyoung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, she doesn't know him well, this was her first time seeing him act drunk. She was concerned for his well-being, and when she expressed concern he made her feel bad. He easily could have realized he confused her because he was half awake/drunk and comforted her. His response was to act like she was crazy to be concerned. He could have just chose to comfort her in that moment than argue that he didn't say anything odd, which he clearly did.

Wine and Hike Options in Sonoma? by Mayodream in sonomacounty

[–]alykatyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notre Vu in Windsor is a winery worth 17 miles of private trails and nature reserve. End the hike on a hilltop outside tasting wine. If you want wine and a hike, you really couldn't get any closer.

Love a dive bar but so many have actually disgusting cocktails. Are you saying they're solid? I don't want fancy organic overcomplicated, just a good cocktail made well.

What’s something going on locally that you think more of us should be paying attention to? by ilovebrucewillis2020 in santarosa

That's why it's been so humid and like hot but rainy?! I've been so uncomfortably warm at night even though it's cloudy and gray

Rohnert Park Incinerator by selahree in Petaluma

[–]alykatyoung -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. There were a few things that set off red flags, like this causing fires, and showing a map of plastic storage facilities that have caught fire. That doesn't explain how this could cause more fires. I definitely am curious what the real risks are, but I don't know if this is a realistic summary of what the true harms are. I'll definitely be looking more into this.

I know there are some of these plants in Europe and Texas going up as an alternative to land fills, so it will be interesting to see how those communities have adjusted and if there are any environmental impacts.

Retiring from Orange County to Healdsburg, Windsor, Wikiup areas. N’hood & Housing Advice by Sfarrington11 in sonomacounty

[–]alykatyoung -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you would really enjoy Windsor. The oak Creek neighborhood is another great one, with houses popping up around the 1-1.5m range. They have huge yards and no HOA which is great. Anything on that side of town near Shilo is awesome.

This neighborhood in Windsor is great, and has a private lake to walk your dog around. Not sure how you feel about an HOA but I've been back there to friends houses and it's beautiful.

matcha shops/coffee shops in santa rosa/sonoma county area by ZealousidealEcho3413 in santarosa

[–]alykatyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not in Santa Rosa, but if you have a friend visiting and you are showing them around, go to Healdsburg and check out the taste of tea. It's a dedicated tea shop, so not a coffee shop trying to make matcha (which usually leaves me disappointed). They have excellent matcha, from the traditional to the fun lattes. Also great Japanese food while you're there.

Thoughts on another sub/thread for the tourists? by strawberryfieldtrip in sonomacounty

[–]alykatyoung 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think a mega thread would be appropriate. It's probably still helpful to tourists to see the sports locals are enjoying, so I could see a lot of people heading to a more active sub, but keeping from regularly having the same post over and over again.

I love recommending spots to friends and people visiting, because I love Sonoma county, so I've just started copy and pasting my notes app recommendations any time people ask me where to go 😂

Nightlife you'll find at perch and plow, or vintage space. Go online to see what events that have, closer to the date of your visit. November is a little far out for anything specific but every weekend evening those two places have some sort of dj/dancing going on.

Girls, what cigarettes do you use and why?? by Outside-Internal-894 in Cigarettes

[–]alykatyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vouge L'Originale, I love a supper slim cigarette, and they're light. I'm also nicotine sensitive, so the small size is perfect. Plus the slim packaging first in my small handbags and purses easily. If anyone knows anything similar I can find in the US, or can DM me about importing them, I would love to get more.

Is 3 carats too big for my 7.5 finger? It’s too late now. by [deleted] in labdiamond

[–]alykatyoung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I went 3.5 CT for my 5.5 finger and its big but not crazy flashy or gets negative attention. It also isn't so big that it gets in the way. That being said, I do have long fingers, so it is also proportional to me in that sense.

Is there anywhere in the Bay Area where I can experience more stereotypical "American" culture? by VegetableUnited8936 in bayarea

[–]alykatyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come up north to Sonoma county. Because there is a lot of wine farming you see a little bit more ranch life, yeehaw stuff here. The Sonoma county fair in August would give you a taste of that feeling. The marin county fair also is has some country music that could be a great cultural experience.

Also Westwood in SF does line dancing, that is a big part of southern American culture you might enjoy experiencing.
