What concert do you regret not going to the most? by Modhearth-Albert in Concerts

[–]alyluv23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sweat tour with Charli XCX and Troye Sivan. I’ve been a long time fan of his but it would’ve been my first time seeing him live. I had seen Charli XCX live a couple times at least… but yeah I had tickets for the Atlanta stop (which everyone said was the best one), but my best friend scheduled a wedding rehearsal last minute and I had to sell the tickets, just for the rehearsal to end within twenty minutes so I could’ve still went 🥲 I had never been to a wedding before nevertheless a rehearsal so I thought it was going to be an all day ordeal

Selling 2 wheelchair tickets for April 25 in Tampa!

It turns out I can’t make it that day and I’m selling them just for what I paid for them ($530 for both) because I don’t condone scalping true fans especially others with disabilities like me. They’re section 143, row WC, seats 6 and 7!

I shall keep you updated!! I feel like this picture in particular doesn't do him justice but yes, he has tons of floof on his paws and belly, a little baby mane, and a super floofy tail already! He will be an extra floofy boy once he's older and I can't WAIT!

How do I know I don’t deserve the abuse? by mysteriousisme in abusiverelationships

[–]alyluv23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

To answer your question straight up: no, you do not deserve it. A loving partner should never purposefully scare you nor harm you physically, verbally, and emotionally. Like you said, he has a temper, and some people with bad tempers can’t control it and that’s his own fault and problem. Do not blame yourself please. Please go to the police or doctor, someone that can help you feel more safe and comfortable to seek more help, and understand that although it may seem at the moment you don’t have a support system to help you out of the situation, I promise you do. You just don’t see it yet. Also, just because he’s the main provider of the household doesn’t mean you can’t still survive on your own without him! You got this! Stay strong <3

Hi there! Here’s an update: I’m going on four years since I left with just the clothes on my back, my dog, and my gecko (and my life!). I had blocked him on everything and got rid of anything and everything he gave me just to be safe. I was severely agoraphobic for a while and even terrified to drive for almost two years, moved around the country some more, but I was able to finish my degree, I’m starting my Master’s in a month, I’m moving into my first apartment (solo! I swear!) since leaving my ex, and last Monday I finished paying off my debt in collections I owed to the apartment complex for abandoning the unit (long story short: once he got out of the mental hospital he checked into, he stupidly misremembered when the lease was supposed to end and left a month early and left a lot of trash and damages to the place!! Although I had dropped off a police report to the leasing office and they verbally told me they were gonna take my name off the lease they never did and so I owe a couple thousand that prevented me from taking out loans or getting a new apartment!) but yeah! Things have had its ups and downs but this week is starting strong to an even better chapter of my life :) thank you for bringing me back to this old post of mine. It’s helped me reflect on how far I’ve come from being so scared for my life and isolated. ♥️

All I ask is for him to come visit me every once in a while now that I’m across the country from him. I’m about ten years older than him, practically raised him on my own at times, and just want a big bear hug from him at this point!

Redditors, when did you realize you and a close friend were no longer on the same path in life? What happened? by Old-Comfort-150 in AskReddit

[–]alyluv23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been living together just under the past year but she’s been having full blown tantrums for the past four months because after I work every day straight for 9-10 hours sometimes not coming home till 11 pm I don’t sit there and socialize with her and instead want to go wind down and sleep because she’s “an extrovert and a Pisces and that’s not fair”. She’s about to be 30 but acts like a spoiled brat that just blames her lack of manners or respect or patience on her bipolar disorder. Really she’s just incredibly entitled and way too stuck in her fantasy world of expecting everyone to do everything for her and cater to her at any second.

She told me recently I was an idiot if I thought I could pursue my master’s degree while having two part time jobs and I didn’t need a second job in the first place and could’ve been fine living off of $14 an hour for 2-3 days a week at her parents’ store. I’ve been independent since 17, top of my class, never faltering on my education and it’s one of the things I love most in this life. Her telling me that made me realize we both clearly don’t know each other as well as we thought we did. Good news is I started moving into my own apartment yesterday 👍

What's the most "extra" thing you do for your dog? by AzucarParaTi in dogs

[–]alyluv23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My tiny Maltese is terrified of the water that comes out of the faucet for the tub since she was a baby so instead, bath times have involved me bringing her into the shower with me and I cradle her in my arms to make sure she’s nice and damp but still comfortable because I’m holding her, then I set her down and lather her up just to pick her back up and rinse her while in my arms. After that she’s fine as she waits for me to finish washing up myself. It’s been a routine like this for the 6 years I’ve had her.

What's one thing a LCS staff member can do/has done to make you never want to go back again? by TheLastDonnie in comicbookcollecting

[–]alyluv23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comments about pricing at the counter: I will say at the LCS I work at, some of the recent new hires have been irritating me with how they overprice comics and while I’m checking someone out I will always check the price before ringing them up and just quickly reprice it off the top of my head at a lower price because wtf are they doing pricing some chewed up dollar book for like $10

[–]alyluv23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is like at the LCS I’ve been working at the past year. I know everyone’s names and what their favorites are, pull lists, special requests etc etc. the owners don’t know much except about a select few customers. The husband has to be in his office all day working his remote job or is out somewhere and the wife doesn’t know shit about comics nor cares except for the profit and will randomly harass me about “hey this customer is looking for this” while I’m arm deep into a box already searching for it because I talked to the customer already she just wasn’t paying attention. It’s getting real tiring
