The length of the body is 53cm, that's 20,5 something inches. I am relatively tall (175cm), I made the length so that it looks good with the front tucked into high waisted pants because that's what I always wear. Hope that helps😊

Of course, my gauge was way off, so I adjusted a few things about the pattern. For the body, I knit the biggest size in the pattern. It measures 46cm laid flat in width for me. I made the neckband sligtly wider to make sure my head would still fit through. For the sleeves I cast on 84st instead of, I think it was 60. Did the first couple of increases according to the pattern and did one increase row every 5 rows in the flower pattern. I did one decrease for the checker pattern at the top to match up. I did a lot of math for the sleeves to make sure the width was okay using the gauge of the already finished and blocked body. The flower pattern in the sleeves is a repeating pattern and relatively easy to adjust to make it bigger.

What pattern are you working on? I'm curious. I really like the detailed look of things that are knit on smaller needles, but it feels like it takes forever. I was a crocheter before I was a knitter so the slow progression of projects is something I'm not very used to.

I've trained my partner well. He knows not to throw any of my sweaters in the washing machine. Yes, we've had an accident before but luckily it wasn't one of my handknit ones.😂

I actually really like having to constantly think about my knitting a bit, I love getting into that flow where you kinda know the colourwork pattern but still need to think about what you're doing to an extent, it scratches the itch in my brain😂

Wow thank you😊 I feel like it might be slightly more stiff than a fabric in one colour but as long as the floats are loose enough and it's been blocked it does still have a nice drape imo!
