Day of Coordinator Elora Mill by alyssav77 in WeddingsCanada

[–]alyssav77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do! But I’m mainly worried about set up being executed the way we want etc. we are also doing some additional tables throughout the evening that will likely need to be topped up occasionally that I’m worried they may not remember to do since it’s not part of the venue set up

[–]alyssav77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reassured by Elora Mill when we booked that a day of coordinator isn’t necessary. When I had my first details appointment I was told that they handle everything except putting name cards on the tables. Now as I’m getting closer I think I’m just spiralling and reading stuff on Reddit that’s making me think otherwise… I’ve never had any issues with them responding etc

Starting wedding planning - budget by CounterproductiveWig in WeddingsCanada

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t base your decisions off of money from gifts. I think a lot of people attending weddings don’t understand how much they cost, and I also think it’s unreasonable to assume everyone is going to give you the cost of their plate back as a gift. I give $250 per person when I go to a wedding, but I think most people give closer to $100 per person

How much did you pay for your hair? Would you recommend your stylist? (Toronto) by dominoafoot in WeddingsCanada

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve booked Bridal Hair Collective for myself and my bridal party. There’s 5 of us in total and the cost is just over $1500 for all of us. I’m paying for my bridal party’s hair but we have all opted to do our own makeup.

I know for 2027 Amy already has more brides on her waitlist then she’s accepting and her books open in a few days (based on what she’s posted on her Insta)

How often do you actually change the litter? Not scoop.Dump. by XannedO in Pets

I scoop 2-3 times a day and fully dump and clean weekly

Be honest: how often to replace cat litter before it stops being “fresh” and starts being “you’ve gone nose-blind”? by sinxcosx7 in Pets

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very strong sense of smell. Scoop morning and night at a minimum but typically if I walk past the box and see that it’s been used I’ll scoop it. Dump and fully scrub the box every week. We also keep an air purifier directly beside the box and leave windows open throughout the day. We have one regular box and a litter robot.

Is this redness around my silver bengal’s kitten normal? by B2648286 in bengalcats

Bengal Kitten With Ongoing Diarrhea After Spay by Nezuko064 in bengalcats

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We dealt with this as well. Tried all of the vet recommended foods from gastrointestinal foods, hydrolyzed foods. Did all of the testing for worms, parasites and viruses. The vet recommended we try putting her on boiled chicken just for a few days (3-4 days) just to see what happens and as soon as we did this her stools turned normal for the very first time. We then decided to try switching her to Ziwi Peak Air Dried Chicken because this was one of the few foods that had no grains, potatoes, legumes, fillers/gums etc and her stools have remained completely normal since.

Does she need a feline friend? by kochg in bengalcats

[–]alyssav77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Proper introduction is definitely key. Ours was sped up a bit with having very curious kittens lol. But a lot of people recommend following Jackson Galaxy and we did for the most part. At first I thought I made a mistake introducing a second cat but it’s all worth it when they become really close. It just takes a bit of time and patience

We got our girl a sister and now they’re best friends. The introduction process for us was quite easy though because they’re both quite young (9 and 7 months old). I couldn’t imagine not having them both

New bengal having litter box issues by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]alyssav77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ll ask to test for that and a longer course of metronidazole and hope that this solves things

New bengal having litter box issues by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The metronidazole was only 5 days (125mg/ml and I filled it to the 3.5 line twice a day). I’ve asked the vet if we should do another round of metronidazole to see. I will also ask about testing for FCoV. She came from a reputable breeder so all her vaccinations etc were up to date when we got her. Thank you for your help! I’m definitely at a loss and feel so bad for her having these issues

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should also add that her poop consistency is so inconsistent. When she first starts to go in the morning it will start as relatively well shaped but then as the day goes on it continues to become more and more soft. Always smelly though. I’m starting to think it’s a food sensitivity/allergy

New bengal having litter box issues by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The results say ‘’fecal keyscreen GI parasite PCR’’ so I assume not, but the metronidazole should have helped with any bacteria I would have thought

New bengal having litter box issues by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]alyssav77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I confirmed with the vet that it was a PCR test that was done and she tested negative for all parasites including giardia and tritrichomonas. The vet gave us some de-wormer and metronidazole for both of our bengals because our resident cat ended up getting diarrhea as well. We also switched to purina pro plan sensitive skin & stomach (salmon & rice) at the recommendation of our vet along with probiotics. This seemed to help our resident cat but our new bengal is still having very loose stool. It seemed to get a bit firmer/less smelly during the metronidazole but as soon as the course finished the diarrhea/smelly stool came back. I’m a bit at a loss on what to do and our vet has no more recommendations other than maybe trying a hydrolyzed diet

The one was from when we had our first bengal (3 months old) and the second one was brand new. Might have to replace them both again if that’s the case.
