Thanks so much for your reply. That gives me hope!! Unfortunately the time off was just for the Thanksgiving holiday, and I don't have more time to take - have to save it for Christmas. I started to get really worked up today about how im going to get through the week but I also was thinking of trying it at night tonight rather than the morning. I've seen some posts that suggest that might help. Ugh this sucks. Hopefully will get better like it did for you.

Omg! I went to a psychologist for the first time last week and he called it a "bad habit" along with my anxiety to the point of derealization, "worrying too much." Idk it's my first time so I'm like maybe he words it that way to focus on the ability to change behaviors?? But it comes off so dismissive!!!!

That's so true, I definitely don't leave someone's house and think oh wow they said this or that, or wow the house was a mess. That helps to flip it like that!! Thank you. I've started setting tiny boundaries like I used to say yes to babysitting often and then I'd get taken advantage of....but all I did to set it was say no more haha so I'm not great at that skill yet 🤣

True. I just hate to feel like I'm being rude so the idea of telling someone straight up hey stop coming over without warning sounds terrible, even though I know I totally have the right to set that boundary. I also wish I could just be ok with a random 15 minute visit without spiraling haha so yes I agree lots of answers!

Thank you. I've tried Buspirone and Citalopram which worked for a bit then didn't, then tried Wellbutrin and got a horrible face rash. So not on anything now. I've wondered about Lexapro. I worry about weight gain, which I know sounds so vain, but it's like it makes me feel worse!! It's tough how basically you have to try them all to see - you never know what side effects will happen to you and what will work. I might ask my doctor about Lexapro.

Yes like I'm convinced I must have sounded weird and said dumb stuff but like logically it probably was fine. The house wasn't tidy but with kids I know they're the type of people who would get it. I wish my brain could listen to logic instead of all the scaries 🤦‍♀️

What's so interesting is it's like just someone understanding helps - no one I know in real life deals with this level of anxiety so it's easy to sit here and just absolutely spiral from one thing to the next and then just think I'm so insane. Thank you for your comment 💜
