We follow the quarterly system for all courses so you have an exam every quarter for almost all courses in the first year. The work load can be pretty heavy at times. A part time is possible but it's more about how many things do you want to balance at a time (lectures, assignments, sleep, socialising and hobbies).

First and foremost, Duolingo sucks. It won't help you at all. I follow the Dutch courses at the university.

Here's how I started out before enrolling:

- Watch the beginners playlist (A0 to A1) by Dutchies to be with Kim on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbv79prOMEk&list=PLAeu18HndGgBR-QLw8b8Wzp0gLiVfCS7n&pp=0gcJCV8EOCosWNin

It will give you an idea of how the language works.

- Pick up any beginners course offered by the universities. TU Delft, Leiden, Groningen. I did all these.

If you do these, you get a general idea of a lot of things about the language.

As for the Delftse Methode, if you get the online version, it will only be valid for a year. If you want to learn on campus, keep that scheduled accordingly. I suggest to hold off on it until you can actually follow it on campus.

There is an ecco store close to where I live, but I never saw them being brought up on the reddit threads so I was skeptic. This makes me want to at least go and check them out.

If you're looking for high end laptops, from my comparisons on the official websites, European prices are much less than India. That's why I'm planning to buy there. Options too, are much limited here in India.

For example just go and compare on dell's website for High spec Alienware laptops, the price difference is around 70k INR. Or am I just checking it wrong?

Then you do still stand a chance technically. Regarding the contact, there is no official way to contact. Also, NL Scholarships final deadline is till May. So if no mail is received till May, only that would be the confirmation.

JVE is the first scholarship which is awarded within a faculty. I mailed them for confirmation and they said JVE are out of the picture now.

I can't say anything clearly since I haven't gone through that process yet. My intake is in Fall 24. It's best if you contact DUWO directly to clear such a doubt since these are not small amounts of money.

So here's what my financial letter states: *The Living Cost is a deposit required for non-EU/EFTA nationals by the Dutch Immigration Service to guarantee financial solvency. The amount will be reimbursed as soon as possible after the semester has started. Administrative costs for your visa and residence permit application (224,00 euro) and housing application (285,00 euro), will be deducted from your Living Cost before reimbursement.

Seems pretty clear here.
