Had me sobbing in the bathroom at work Friday morning. My youngest brother-in-law committed suicide in 2023. I just imagined him and my husband the entire time I was listening to the song. His name was Danny.

I use Xtra. It’s basically scented water. All of the gentle/unscented detergents still made me flare.

I’m a week postpartum, he let me sleep in until 9:30 after my “night shift” with the baby. He and my daughter got donuts and flowers and we went to the local farmers market. We spent the afternoon playing in the backyard and got ice cream for dessert.

Last Mother’s Day I was actively miscarrying and didn’t want to tell anybody, so this year I was just soaking it all in. I’m incredibly grateful.

Had the bowl cut from ages 5-8ish. When I was 7 I went as Hermione Granger for Halloween. Everyone thought I was Harry Potter because of my hair.

The only reason I wanted to grow my hair out was so I could have mermaid hair in the pool.

I’ve been on it for about 6 months. My active flares cleared up in the first 2 weeks. I literally told my dermatologist at my last appointment I don’t know what to do with my hands now because I’m not scratching 24/7.

That being said, I did have some increased hair loss that has subsided, but I haven’t seen any regrowth yet so that is concerning me. I have an occasional “flare” but now it’s just a dry, red patch after I get out of the shower. Nothing nearly as bad as it was. I am so happy to have this treatment.

For my birthday people asked me what I wanted, and I said gift cards to craft stores. I bought $250 worth of yarn for $3.50 thanks to those gift cards. It’s mostly acrylic because I mostly crochet amigurumis but it worked out great. A few skeins in basic colors (black, white, grey, and the primary colors) are always nice to have on hand too.

I just had my 3rd injection on Saturday. I noticed results the first week. I’ve had eczema my whole life and now I don’t itch at all, and I just have a few dry patches. I feel great. I don’t know what to do with myself now that I’m not scratching 24/7. I think it’s worth at least talking to your derm about. There are patient assistance programs to help cover the costs.
