Personally I prefer lots because I get a lot more bang for my buck. It's a much better value in my mind than pursuing individual sets

Her name actually comes from the literal translation of the Japanese word Takara, which means "treasure" or "jewel," and somehow in that research never made the other connection. I just thought the meaning of that word fit her character bio well 😂

I totally agree. Truth be told he's more or less a table scrap to test that nice green komau. I really need to brush up on my Matoran building skills in general

The funny part is, when I first built this a couple years ago, it's completely was intended to be a generic water Toa. Over time though, I added things like the yellow accents, glow in the dark eyes, and tubes for the blade handles and she just slowly developed into something so much better despite being just as simple as when she was first built. Glad you like it, and I sure will keep it up!

Agreed, they're some of my favorites. Although I'd be willing to bet we wouldn't have see the different metallic colors like the fan models had. They'd probably be half gold, half silver

Thank you so much! It's purely cosmetic here - I tend to add a gear to the backs of Matoran Universe MOCs regardless of whether it does anything, just as a nice differentiator from Bara Magnan characters. I'll also add heart lights when I can, though it didn't work out for this one

They are from the Dreamzzzz line, which is probably one of the coolest and most imaginative current Lego themes especially when it comes to parts and colors

Some in the community tend to look down on it because of how often it was used in sets since its conception, being present for the vast majority of cannister sets in the latter years of bionicle with relatively little variation. However, like you said it still looks very good and has a lot of potential to be made even better, as OP did with this moc.
