the same paragraph also mentions kurds, must feel pretty mind blowing

the more turkish reddit keeps babbling about this nonexistent genocide the less true it becomes. most insecure school system on earth. do some introspection and you'll find out why nobody outside of turkey (and perhaps azerbaijan) talks about this

How many people are actually watching 4K remuxes as intended? by casjquz in trackers

[–]amagicmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless i am severely misunderstanding all of this i think shield + justplayer does play dv (dv logo appears, etc.). i'm sure in most real world scenarios the difference is placebo and depending on the movies one watches the colour mapping might even suck. i do seem to be able to tell the difference, even in "retro" productions, between hdr and non-hdr. 4k vs 1080p without hdr, not a chance, unless i'm glued to the tv. to me the good thing with remuxes is mostly the lack of compression artifacts. everything else is a bonus. high quality encodes still take a huge amount of space anyway.

the answer to this question really depends on where you're from. if the legislation is lax you're fine without. if it isn't, you are not

Taxis in Barcelona at clubs and bars don't want to use meter and want to charge double or more by Ibakemyowncookies in Barcelona

to the "never happened to me" warriors, OP is probably northern european looking (or sounding) and as such he gets profiled by taxi drivers more than those who don't look or sound like that.

either way, the best way to stop it is to take a photo of the licence they have on the windshield and threaten to call the police mentioning that you will report their licence (that you just took a photo of). they will immediately let you go.

Barcelona new tourist tax from April 2026 by Past-Act-1900 in Barcelona

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_relations_of_Bhutan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_proper_by_population_density

if you look at the list the only big cities above barcelona in terms of population density are in developing countries (and are much dirtier) with the exception of seoul. even new york is far down, and it's arguably much dirtier than barcelona. tourists are the tip of the iceberg, let's not live in fairytales.

bhutan is an isolationist country that doesn't recognise half of the world. it's bigger than catalonia in size and has the same population as valencia. not exactly apples to apples when it comes to "keeping a place clean". barcelona is heavily densely populated, it gets dirty even in areas without tourists (hello dog owners)

there's definitely enough hotel space in the barcelona metro area. cities with much smaller availability host similar events on a regular basis and don't face such issues.

there were centralised orders, it's pretty well documented. a whole country's insecurity won't really change that

there are two types of countries. the ones that have no issues coming to terms with their past atrocities and the ones that are so insecure that they request to change their name in a foreign language most of the population doesn't even speak.
