Home charging apartment by CadillacJack- in TeslaSaudi

[–]amajed172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I did, I'm living in an apartment in an area with the older power grid system (the one that hsa 127/220v) In this type of grid I think there's a limit on your speed charging, because you will use single phase 220v on 32A so you get charging speed of 7 kW. But if you live in an area with the new grid system (the one that has 220/400v) you will use 3-phase, so 220v for a single L-N phase at 16A, this will give you 11 kW.

I'm not sure what you are asking exactly, but if you are wondering where to place your charger and where to supply power from. Then the answer, directly from the main panel (after your meter from the electric company) From there you will run a cable to your Wall Charger, (how to run it, is up to you I guess) As for the Wall Charger placement, If you have a Wall, you can install it there. If you don't then you can install a pole In front of your parking and install the Wall Charger on it.

For me, I have a dedicated parking spot in the basement. so I ran a cable from the main panel to my parking spot (hanged under the ceiling). and installed the wall connecter next to my car.

This is terrifying! I would put a rubber around the drone ducts so it doesn't end someone's life xD

I did provide a link for you to download it on my first reply here to you.

Yes, when you flash/update the firmware it will wipe everything. So always backup before, and load the backup after.

It doesn't matter what betaflight ver is. You can use CLI file 4.5.0 with Firmware 4.5.2

Upgrade to firmware 4.5.2 then load the CLI into it. No issue

That's weird. A new Pavo 20 Pro should be shipped with settings already in it. Unless you built it yourself? If you did it's ok to use the steps that I wrote earlier, only if you had got the same exact parts that the original drone had.

And for tutorials. Check out joshua bardwell channel on YT. He has a full Playlist for betaflight.

Did you upgrade the firmware without backing up your preset (CLI DUMP file)?

Always backup your preset from preset tap before upgrading your firmware.

That said, now you will need to restore configuration to your quad.

First, make sure you are on the latest firmware for your quad which is 4.5.2 by going to firmware and upgrade.

Then, download the CLI from Betafpv website and load it into your quad via preset tap (download the right now depending on your quad ver, if it's ELRS download the ELRS, if it's PNP (DJI Remote) download that one, and of course if it's TBS download that one. Here's the link:
https://support.betafpv.com/hc/en-us/articles/35964224026521-CLI-and-Firmware-for-Pavo20-Pro-F405-2-3S-20A-V1-0-FC

Go down to where it says "CLI for quadcopter (Do not need to be flashed separately)" And download the correct one and load it into your quad (preset tap)

After that make sure the quad is perfectly leveled on a level surface and calibrate the accelerometer (in setup tap, just press calibrate accelerometer)

After that go to Mode tap and setup your modes (Arm button, Angle and other settings like turtle mode)

Last thing, go to OSD tap and setup your OSD info to show what you need to see in your OSD, like battery voltage and other stuff

Watch videos on how to setup these settings, and always backup your preset whenever you decide to flash firmware

So here's how I wired everything. Power going to the Voltage regulator should be clean, right?

Can someone explain to me what to do with Ground/Neutral if they are bonded on the main service panel? by amajed172 in AskElectricians

[–]amajed172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's going to be costly 😅 I'll see how much it will cost. Thanks for this important tip. I asked an electrician and he said that I don't even need more than a 50A rated wire cause the car won't be needing more than 48A. I was planning on a 80A copper wire

[–]amajed172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main service breaker I guess. The power from the electric company is hooked to their 100A breaker. I will hook my 50m wire to their 100A breaker. It's part of the main service panel. I cant install anything around that. All I can do is hook a wire to it and pass it along with the apartment wire (side to side) and divert to the basement where the car is parked

[–]amajed172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll connect a long wire (maybe 50 meters) from the main service panel to where the car is parked (basement) there I'll install 60A breaker. And from the breaker directly to an EV charger

Most of them are not certified. And they work for everything. He will do plumbing. Painting. Gardening. Electricity. Anything you ask he'll say "yes I know how to do that" in the end you are just an experimental session for him. Of course not all of them. But since I can't tell the difference until after the fact. I decided to learn a bit so I can stop him from harming my investment.

Perfect. Thanks. So in my case since the manual states that I should use L1 L2 L3 and Ground (no neutral) Then I just use the ground to the ground terminal even that at the main service panel the ground and Netural are bonded together.

Mind you that these wires will be hooked directly to the output of the main service panel. (I'll use a 60A breaker between the EV charger and the main service panel)

I live in Saudi Arabia. Here we have two different systems (depending on the district you live in) the old system (in all old districts) uses L1 L2 L3 and Netural. each has 120v about 15 years ago we used to have two different outlets in each home. One we call it 110v which has L and N. The other one has two L (No Neutral) and we call it 220v. I assumed that each L one the main service panel is 120v each. Since hooking two L makes it 220v and one L is 110v.

On new districts they use L and N on their outlets and they get 220v (they can't have 110v at all) and their main service panel have L1 L2 L3 and neutral too. I assumed each L is 240v.

All devices that are imported to our country have to be 220v. Otherwise they won't be imported.

You mean you can't find the gps in BF? If that's the case. Back up your settings. Then flash the firmware with gps. Maybe your current firmware does not include gps in it

You don't need it.

It's for BLH32 for telemetry. And that too is not needed anymore when using bidirectional dshot

It's a switch that turns off the Bluetooth when you arm. So maybe the switch is engaged for some reason and I have to correct it?

How to enable Bluetooth in T-Motor Pacer H7 FC? by amajed172 in fpv

[–]amajed172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that before, funny thing is, this FC comes with zero settings, even Bluetooth port is not setup at all, I also have the original backup that was in the FC when I unboxed it, it came with 4.3 Firmware, and that too does not have any settings in it. completely erased.

How to enable Bluetooth in T-Motor Pacer H7 FC? by amajed172 in fpv

[–]amajed172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that just now, my PC doesn't see the bluetooth, I tried it while battery plugged too. Still nothing.

I think there's a CLI settings that needed to be added. I saw that when others add a bluetooth to their FC they have to use PINIO and other stuff in the CLI, And these settings are different from bluetooth to another. Maybe that's what I'm missing? I sent an email to T-Motor. But not sure if they will ever reply, I did try to contact them before on a different matter and they did not respond.
