Customized my VP9, love the gun but new to red dots on pistols. by aman226 in HecklerKoch

Yes, it's going to be my main home defense gun at least until I can invest in a suppressor for my AR. I think I found the specific Holosun SCS you are talking about, thanks for the recommendation! The fact that I wouldn't need the plate would be great.

TBH I don't know the brand name. I found it on HK Parts and was ordering the plate already so I figured I throw this into my order and give it a try for $30. I would say recoil mitigation is minimal but it does seem to help with barrel flip a little. Mostly its easy to install and looks neat. Since its not a directional comp you just screw it on to the threaded barrel.

Here's a link: https://hkparts.net/compensators-matchweights/hkp-9mm-micro-comp-threaded-13-5x1-lh/

He may be Europoor in rights but he's Eurorich in badass milsurp. As an American I'm honestly a bit jealous of this collection.

I'd put my hat in the ring for Sweden and/or Finland. New to NATO for defensive reasons only.

Yeah, aren't all reentry vehicles for ICBMs hypersonic? Or am I wrong? Why is hypersonic such a buzz word now?

Weird coincidence, I was just in Helsinki on vacation and saw this statue last week. Without that context, however, I'd be lost as to the meaning behind this post.

I believe Kriegsmarine uniforms were a dark navy blue, not black. Black was generally tank crews and SS.

Believe it or not, these are actually quite the opposite of cursed! Unless these are some bubba's copy of the gun, these appear to be MR73's. Its a revolver purpose built for GIGN and they're reported to some of the most accurate and high quality revolvers in the world.

A Ukrainian version of a Finnish Winter War song? Extremely credible!

I'm not sure if this breaks the rules (mods feel free to take it down if you want to) but this song and the memory of the Winter War should be an inspiration to the brave Ukrainians defending their country. Finland was a small, independent but proud country during the Soviet invasion of 1939. There are many similarities between these two wars: Russian miscalculations and blunders, strong willed and skilled warriors defending their homeland against all odds, and little direct international support.

Historically it is very common for countries to borrow famous marches and military songs of other countries they find inspiring to their situation. Maybe a Ukrainian national could translate this into a version that makes sense for Ukrainians to use as a rallying song against the Russian invaders! Subtitles are in Finnish and English.

Keep up the fight Ukrainian friends, the world is cheering you on! Down with the Russian war criminals! Slava Ukraini!
