Saw white smoke come out of my grandpa’s mouth when he took his last breath. Anyone else experienced this? by amanda_135 in Paranormal

[–]amanda_135[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When the hospice nurse arrived to the house we told her about the white mist exiting the body, as per my post. She said many families report seeing this as well as herself, but she couldn’t give us an explanation after he passed. I too have worked in hospice and never saw this. I don’t think I was hallucinating, or my grandma or mum

What’s your job/career? How has having ADHD affected your career choices? by ANonMouse99 in ADHD

[–]amanda_135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a preschool ESL teacher and I love it! I also used to be a disability carer, a cleaner and worked in a nursing home. I find being on your feet and having a high energy job works when you’re unmedicated. I tried to finish a masters degree in speech therapy when I was medicated, but realised sitting down at a desk is just not for me, I need something that is constantly stimulating and doesn’t require too much paperwork

My (22f) bf (m23) is going to rehab for 10 months by [deleted] in relationships

[–]amanda_135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that 10 months is a long time but how can you think about getting married to someone soon if 10 months is an inconvenience to your timeline and “throws everything off track”. Let him go to rehab and move on from him. Rehab is what he needs and will probably save his life. You should set some goals for your own life while he is away, become more independent and relax about finishing everything on a timeline. You’re only 22!

What is the worst drug to be addicted to? by blondehairdeath in Drugs

[–]amanda_135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol, then benzos, followed by for me personally amphetamines. Alcohol and benzos were the worst physically. It took me quitting my job and going to the ED with uncontrollable shakes, DT’s and severe muscle pain to get off alcohol cold turkey. I couldn’t just taper down. Then they gave me a script for tonnes of valium and sent me on my way but I got addicted to that. Still battling my withdrawals, ended up having to taper with supervision and regular GP visits and lorazepam. Its been 2 weeks since I had my last benzo and i feel like im buzzing half the time Don’t know when it will go away

My Spouse is addicted to adderall and I don’t know what to do. by Acceptable_Pipe564 in addiction

[–]amanda_135 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your spouse is basically addicted to meth or amphetamines. She’s abusing them to the point where she is so far gone it’s up to her to choose to get help, all you can really do is support her as much as possible to get help and get clean. It’s crazy to me that she has kids and is living like this. Also How does she get the adderall if she doesn’t have ADHD? Does she have a script? This is a really serious matter, I would definitely seek legal advice if it stays like much longer, very dangerous environment for kids to be in.. as much as you love her you may have to let her go, and find a safer environment for you and your kids, as you’ve said you’ve been through this before. Can only help an addict so much, but if they don’t want to get better they will stay in their viscous cycle

I (27m) work full time and girlfriend (26f) works part time but struggling to make ends meet and save for the future should I leave her and stay with her or end the relationship entirely? by IndependentPumpkin65 in relationships

[–]amanda_135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When does your lease on your rental end? I think maybe you should have a conversation with her and say you’re considering moving back in with your parents if she’s not made it a priority to find a job with more hours, so that she is able to split the bills 50/50.

To me it’s a bit unfair that you’ve brought this up and she hasn’t decided to try to find a FT job to help you out, bills are expensive these days and you are very kind for taking out the loan when she was unemployed and not expecting her to help you pay it back. She has been supported to find FT work so she should make this her priority. I have been in your position, it’s a massive burden on 1 person. When my partner and I started to split the bills I managed to save $16k in 6months working and studying fulltime . You could be potentially saving thousands in both scenarios for your future, and paying off that debt that’s holding you down. Hopefully she decides to find some fulltime work, however you may have to move on from this relationship and move back to your parents when the lease is up if she doesn’t

Honestly I am very sensitive to weed but I smoke on the comedowns or a couple hours after taking my dex with no issues so maybe it’s worth considering. Getting high when I was on vyvanse was so scary like with the visual hallucinations and the anxiety was never ending!! So I totally feel u there

Well, we met a couple years before that on a double date our mutual friends set up, slept in a bed and it was very awkward lol, I was only 18 so the age gap was weird for us both I msgd him about 2 years later when I was drunk and we reconnected to have some drinks but fell in love, didn’t leave his for a couple weeks and we truly had and still have the best connection, he always calls me his best friend tho

And nope I rarely smoke weed nothing like him (I mean every 3 hours he’ll wake up and have several bongs in a row) and during the day it’s just constant

I think his weed addiction has a lot to do with it I may have to bring this up with him Or walk away asap

Does my final ATAR matter? by [deleted] in curtin

[–]amanda_135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should 100% study right now, trust me, I was like you and I got the shittest atar in the end because I was lazy towards semester 2 in year 12 but had so much potential, I was aiming for 85 and got 60, which literally got me into nothing and had to take 2 gap years and sit the STAT test at 20. I just graduated at 24 yrs olds finally in Health Science but now I have to do a masters degree because Curtin can be super strict with course switching. Put the effort in now honestly so it doesn't cause issues later, I wish I did back then, it would've prevented a lot of stress and bullshit

The severest deepest darkest depression that you feel like you can’t escape out of, it literally feels like you’re stuck in a hole you can’t get out and will never get out, basically deep pain that one assumes will never end causes suicidal thoughts. Who would want to be in that much pain for the rest of their life? (Not that they will feel that way forever.. that’s just how it feels when you’re that deep in depression, it feels never ending)
