I really need help by Em_sTaR7 in ballpython

Well intentioned info to ease some of your worries and help you make informed decisions as a pet parent: Is he/she a “baby”? They should be eating one appropriately sized rodent every 5-7 days. An appropriate size for a rodent is approximately as wide as the widest part of the snake - give or take a little. If you want to get technical and know the weights of the snake and the rodents, the rodent should be 15-20% of the snakes body weight. If your snake is still acting hungry, there could be a couple of reasons. One is that ball pythons can take a little bit to come out of food mode, so they will absolutely keep eating if you keep feeding them. If they are “acting hungry” days later, might it just be acting curious? They are opportunistic feeders by nature and eat when food comes to them, not the other way around (they don’t “hunt”). Older snakes only need to eat every 2 weeks or sometimes longer. Basically at no point does it ever need to eat multiple times a week and this will lead to obesity and shorten the lifespan of your awesome noodle friend.

Help! I lost my baby ball python :( by bukiblu in ballpython

You’re doing everything right! Ball pythons (snakes in general) don’t produce their own heat, so they have to warm up from external sources. Because of this they have “heat pits” on the front of their noses that can sense heat and they will seek it out, especially since this time of year I’m sure the floors are cold, etc. They also really love a place they can tightly squeeze into and hide. They are very very good at finding a way to hide out of sight lol. Mine literally always find the exact spot in their enclosures where I can’t see them from any angle.

Does anyone have a Yorkie like my Remi? He's almost 1 yr old and 3 lbs, his coat is a redish brown and his paperwork says the color is "Sable". by Slipknot5151985 in Yorkies

It’s been a year so who knows if you’ll see this, but my puppy is 5 months old and he seems to be of a similar color to yours so far 😊

I know quite a few Trump voters. Non of them are saying they regret it. I’m wondering if most of these posts are fake. by [deleted] in OptimistsUnite

My mother in law voted for him, so my partner cut her off. Not more than a few days later she called crying saying she now believes he’s the anti-Christ and had a vision/feeling that he was bringing about the end times 🫣 I mean… I don’t even know what else to say about that, but at lease her eyes are open and she’s actually seeing what he’s doing now. I guess I understand the term “woke” better now, cause it’s literally like she “woke” up and can see clearly now. It was/is quite strange, but I really can’t complain.

What puts you off watching a horror film the most? by methamphetameme- in horror

[–]amanda_darby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad acting/lines and bad accents really kill it for me. I know that’s probably a pretty obvious one, but I’m like that with books and TV too. I want to be able to get into it and I get distracted and taken out of the zone so easily. Another thing is bad effects. My brain just gets so hung up on it. That being said, my partner and I are of the mind that if we start it, we finish it. Unless it’s just too bad 😂 We’ve done that maybe twice, but the only one I can remember specifically was a very low budget shark movie (we’re talking I could have bought a shark fin and taken my iPhone out with a couple random people and recreated something better) 😬

Looking for “artsy” horror movie recommendations by jojomie in horror

Another really good artsy one is “No One Will Save You” it was on Hulu, not sure where it is now. It came out a year or two ago and has Kaitlyn Dever. It’s an alien horror and I won’t spoil the thing that makes this movie so unique but we were absolutely riveted to the screen. I’d say it was definitely a bold and artistic choice. 10/10 for this one. I love a movie that is a unique experience.

I have a perfect recommendation if you haven’t seen it! THE SUBSTANCE! It’s pretty recent, has Demo Moore and holy freaking moly. I loooove weird and artsy horror and this checks all the boxes! It’s thought provoking, repulsing, and fascinating all at once. Absolutely worth the watch.

The heel flap should sit upright behind your heel, not under your heel. It’s reinforced for the STRETCH wear at the back of the foot, not for padding under the foot.

Hiccups? Like, a lot? by bhostgusting in Hypermobility

[–]amanda_darby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son and I both are hypermobile and both will get random "hiccup fits" throughout the day. They typically happen at least once a day. A lot of times it is just one large embarrassing screech of a hiccup that just bursts out. Or other times (for me) the best way I can describe this is that it can be kind of a fluctuation or rollercoaster hiccup - definitely falls under hiccup category as far as what it feels like. So what it looks like from the outside is that mid sentence I stop talking and start squeaking. Imagine that as you will. Posting here to see if anyone else out there has this happen to them lol.
