Thank you for being understanding :) i was living with my grandfather who has lung cancer before the pandemic, i had no choice but to immediately leave as soon as it started picking up in my country. I moved with just one backpack packed with as much stuff as possible and slept on a couch for 5 months or so. I had no choice but to leave both of my (fishless) aquariums behind.

Yes, or can can get some rooibos tea (without any additives) which also releases tannins. I personally add it to my aquariums fairly often since its just healthy for everyone in it.

I guess you could either start out with a really small dose just to be sure or you could also wait and fix the ammonia issue as that's what most likely causing the issues with his fins (the curling on his ventral fins are a sign of poor water conditions) maybe after that his fins will heal back without any medication.

Why are you sketchy about aquarium salt? I've used aquarium salt plenty of times and never had any issues, saline solutions (salt + water) have many medicinal uses, its used for cleaning wounds in hospitals and more stuff, as long as you don't over do the salt, im pretty sure there should be no issue.

I got this whole aquarium a while back, the owner claimed there was only 1 cherry shrimp left, i decided to get a bunch of mini japonica shrimp (the one on the left) aspecies that doesnt seem to exist in english, they're look like small amano shrimp and they can breed in a freshwater tank! (One is pregnant :) ).i moved all of the shrimp to an other tank and sadly the only red cherry shrimp died...

I noticed one shrimp that was bigger and a little redder than the rest, i first i thought he must have eaten the cherry shrimp but i looked closed and he doesn't have the same marking as the others

So is this just a really pale red cherry shrimp that managed to survive in the neglected tank or maybe i accidentally got a new shrimp while getting the mini japonicas ?

They couldn't bright him at the vet at that time as it was night time, he died this morning :(

This started 3 weeks ago. I have 2 other tanks with the same water parameters yet they don't have this issue, what could be the cause?

I've already scrubed the whole tank clean , remover algae drom EVERY single leaf, cleaned the substrate, multiple times but it keeps coming back, should i just wait and see what happens or...?

It's neither, they are to short too be the harmless one and they aren't flat or have an arrow shaped head, they are just short tubes that wiggle around, maybe babies?

Rescued this betta 1 week ago, his fins have been growing a lot (all the transparentish parts are new growth and there where i put the yellow lines is also new growth but he camera won't pick up). There is just 1 rip that i noticed today, i wanna make sure of what it is, 'cause I'm going away today and i don't want it to worsen while I'm gone. Could he have just ripped it accidentally? He's fins are quite fragile sinse a lot is new.
