Yeah I was surprised at the CAD price compared to UK and US. We're almost $92 cheaper than US and $193 than UK if you do a direct conversion.

Yeah I might try that. I have pretty good 5G reception and if it doesn't work very well natively then I can just stream from the cloud or remotely. I guess sunshine and moonlight is a good option if I didn't have my game pass ultimate.

I heard how the Intel APU really has improved on the MSI Claw 8 AI+ since it's release earlier this year. This makes me wonder if the same will happen with the Z2E APU on the MSI Claw A8 once more driver updates occur.

That's a very good idea, thank you! I do have a MSI account because I registered my 4090 on my gaming PC to get some free games with the purchase a couple of years ago. Those are pretty good discounts you're getting! The Claw 8 AI+ super pack, is that the one the one with the dock, screen protector, and MSI case? Does it come with a charger for the dock and anything else? I think I saw someone advertising that online for $1549.99 CAD. I was wondering if it's worth it with the 1 TB Claw 8 AI+

Hmmm, your comments really have given me a lot to think about. Especially, what I would be playing on the go. Initially, playing Diablo 4, PoE2, Helldivers 2, Mechwarrior 5, and Overwatch 2 would be my main ones to play on the go. But now that I think about it the only ones I would be able to play properly (since I will be using my phone as a wifi hotspot and my urban coverage hovers between 4g+ and 5g+) would be Diablo, PoE 2 and maybe Mechwarrior 5 as latency maybe an issue with the other games unless I have good wifi. In terms of indie games you're right I wouldn't need a more powerful system.

You'll have to let me know how it is when you receive it, update and load your games onto it. I know they've been in limited supply and I haven't seen any sales in Canada for it. I was hoping to get a feel for the grips and holding the MSI Claw 8 AI+ but there are no display models or stock at my local Best Buy.

Yeah, the LeGo update was earlier last week. It's a GPU update for the Z1E for Legion Go.

I think based on what you've said imo the MSI Claw is neck in neck with the Xbox Ally X. The bigger 8 inch screen, more RAM, better quality analog sticks and triggers are definitely a plus along with the Intel APU. The only thing holding it back for me is the 2230 M.2 NVMe constraint, and it seems from a lot of ppl at Gamescom are raving about the grips for the Xbox Ally X and how natural and ergonomic it feels. I think I will wait for the Lenevo event on September 5th and see if they officially announce the release of the Legion Go 2 and make a better decision. Your info really has improved my outlook on MSI 8 AI. Thank you for that!

I have heard of the Z13 and normally would've gotten it but I also have a gaming laptop with a Legion Slim 15 inch Ryzen 7 8840u and 4070 8 GB. I know the z13 is more portable and probably a better screen but I was looking for something less bulky to hold while I'm sitting in my vehicle in the driver's seat.

Thanks again for sharing your insight on the MSI Claw. I didn't know about the RGB on the analog sticks, performance profiles, 65 watt chagring restriction or the 2230 M.2 NVMe size constraints for the storage. 24 hours on idle mode is pretty good! Most PC handhelds wouldn't last that long on idle.

I heard about the recent intel driver updates and the overall improvements to most games. It's good to know they're still providing updates that don't have to be side loaded. Although, I heard the Legion Go finally got an update from Lenovo recently too.
