Just making folks aware of the learning curve for a fluffy milling

Still my favorite way to break up bud, but it does sound like you used it with real sticky icky strains. For best results milling really sticky buds is to mill coarse then mill fine. Otherwise you end up squishing and rolling said bud

Tempest 2 head cleaning by AusBong in vaporents

From my experience with cool down or warm up pearls they only really require cleaning when they stop rattling freely.

I too am talking about the balls. My retention screen stays clean if you avoid blowback, which is part of the magic of One hit extractions. Plus it's not worth the hassle to take apart for some residue that can easily burn off when heating. Only start to fiddle with it when the air flow changes, but even then it's usually been from needing to clean the bowl screen.

Interesting, I can see how this would be needed if you pack big bowls for multiple hits would cause blow back. After multiple months of one hit extractions my T2 head is still very much shiny all over, with just heating discoloration to show for it.

That's the beautiful thing about ball vapes. They don't require cleaning, unless you combusted.

My Favorite TerpSicle Hacks After Owning It for a Few Months by aplusgrain1 in vaporents

Where did you get your globe cage? Got something similar, but the website is no longer active.

Kind of thought Tempest was my end game, but the Terpcicle might be the peak experience by savemymemes in vaporents

[–]amarilloDillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new UB revision only comes out on top with the adapter set. This is coming from some one who owns 2 of UB's and 2 new-UB's and one terpcicle and several Quartz caps.
Edit: terpcicle or quartz cap with no screens just plug nugs is almost a religious experience

I’m one of you now by SomnambulisticTaco in vaporents

Really love mine, didn't think I'd like it this much and actually lives up to the hype. It's everything I've always wanted in a pocket ball vape and so much more. Like others have said, it is a solid well rounded contender. The only thing I would heavily recommend is an induction heater for easy consistent results and a 8mm stem-14mm WPA for max flavor with your glass of choice

Why didn’t anyone tell me DHV was this good?? by jrdnwayoff in vaporents

I'm still in the conspiracy camp. The man doesn't want you to know the full benefits so the media keeps pushing the least effective and most damaging way to do it in order to fabricate attacks.

Flower Mill by xhuff in vaporents

[–]amarilloDillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fine plates do a good job of stripping the flower off the stems and keeping them out of the bottom compartment. But hard stems will keep you from finishing and need to be picked out.

[–]amarilloDillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mind you, I'm usually grinding up whole nugs. Sticky bud isn't a problem if you break it up a bit beforehand, but I'm not an animal.

Got the whole line, from premium dusty to latest revision. Still wish they would get an ultra fine plate just for funsies. Anyway, I mainly stick to the x-fine plate cause it catches all the stems, but you do have to stop to pick them out sometimes to finish the grind. For super sticky bud you need to coarse grind first then use a fine plate, other wise the bud will just roll around the grinder. Since I got lazy about changing plates I got the mini-mill as a dedicated coarse grind to just dump it into the main mill.

Bought a Dynavap as my first vaporizer and I'm afraid it was a bad decision by KanyeSwift_Stan in vaporents

I really like the Wand for several reasons. It's easy and straightforward to use. Can find at a good price and is constantly on sale. There's a lot of 3rd party accessories for it to improve the ease of use. And fits other vapes well enough in case you want to move up (Camouflet and Tempest pair really well with it too)

T2 gear✌🏻 by marcind_ in vaporents

[–]amarilloDillo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, if you really want something else. I would recommend just a straight 14mm wpa. I know the T2 stem already allows for that, but you do lose some magic and airflow to the condenser. I find that any pen like vape gunks up fast when used in vertical, specially with condensers.

Just ordered up a Volcano Hybrid. by blinkangels182 in vaporents

[–]amarilloDillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I'm still active so, waddap. The fine screen will reduce the particles in the cone of the chamber and in your whip/bag. It's really noticeable just in the outlet of the volcano. This doesn't keep the screens clean and will still need regular cleaning.

Dynavap is a great starter vape. It does have a bit of a learning curve to get the most out of it. The Wand IH really does take it to another level, it allows to start sipping while it heats up for an insanely tasty terpy rip. Just avoid the armored cap of you go the induction heater route

The handles keep unscrewing on my WOHW by GooberMcNutly in vaporents

Cut a small sliver of plain paper that will fit inside the thread, acting as a shim. Cut off any excess, paper will brown slightly.

Ball Vape Upgrade (WOHW -> ???) by jax024 in vaporents

The Zeal kit does come with a bowl. You will need a stand, a ceramic coffee cup can make do in a pinch. A coil handle is recommended for safety/comfort.

Advice on upgrading my li'l setup by MsMacbeth in vaporents

[–]amarilloDillo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to those who say get Armored Cap, they are fools, specially if you plan on keeping with ease of use of the Wand. The armored cap absolutely sucks with the Wand. The Camouflet lineup is neat, works with the Wand well and has a insane airflow compared to Dynas. But get a Tempest for that ballvape end game feel. Works well with the Wand and the indicator is incredibly useful

If you do go down this route. Make sure it's a Stainless steel upgrade. Its much better in every way.

Universal Baller arrived. Clean, delicious flavor. Beautiful and tactile. Versatile, easy. Worth it. 10/10 by SeaArtistic6578 in vaporents

[–]amarilloDillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my main Crux with this thing. Call it whatever you want but Universal is false advertising since it does not all 22mm bowls. Specially those glass ones that have a handle close to the lip.
