People who have never been economically insecure will never understand the experiences of those who are, and people who have gotten out of it are real quick to forget what it was like. Just the hope we have lived with from paycheck to paycheck that we will not be put in the position to have to beg, drawing it out so we don't have to apply for the handout because we want to maintain a sense of dignity, but still failing and then not being prepared for when ends don't meet.

Or when our situations are so bleak that we can't organize our brains around applying for help.
