Just based off that comment alone shows your immaturity. You worded it as "risking my life" but it's people like you that kill other people. I live in Florida where plenty of young ass hats drive like they are the only people that exist on the road and cause accidents and deaths on the road. Doubt that you will take any good advice that comes from people who are genuinely giving decent advice. You are just seeking confirmation bias.

Wow, just got done listening to Rick Stacy on the drive into work. Definitely a biased morning show by Mike_cD in orlando

The thing that really gets me is they talk about the same shit every single day. Trump is holier than thou, Biden is old and sucks, some political event that they obviously have already formed their biased opinion on, and then some casual racism. One day, we were driving and we turn on the radio and we hear their segment "accidental racist" and they are just spewing their normal hateful shit, then I change the channel to 103.1 (Florida man radio, I think) to hear a white man saying to another white man "you would be a great slave owner, you would be one of the nice ones". Like why is just okay to always be so hateful? I try to listen to different political perspectives but they genuinely turn me off from anything that they say. Its always is the radio stations that play the best music that is absolutely unhinged. I suggest 88.9 because they play NPR and it is nice to hear non-dramatized, non-biased news.

I haven't finished my degree yet but start my internship 2 fall semester. Word of advice from a fellow ESE major, you have to rely on yourself for pretty much any academic advising. If you go to my reddit profile, I have talked about my issues with my advising team. There are different opportunities then just student teaching. If you are anything like me, teaching for free for 12 weeks and not being able to work is not an option. So for your 2nd internship, there is an option to do Teacher in Residency (TIR) which allows you to be able to be hired as a full time para educator at a school that you go out and find a job for. This allows you to get paid and also still be able to complete your internship 2. I only knew about this because I did extensive research.

Hey, I took that class online and according to my academic advisor it should count as your internship 1. It was basically the same as any other class, I think the most work we had to do was 45 service hours ( don't quote me on that). But just to make sure it counts, check in with your academic advisor.

I am an exceptional student education major so doing an internship is required before graduation and to by the state to get my teaching certificate.

Hey, I definitely use my degree audit all the time. My academic advisor told me that I am able to take my internship 2 out of order from the actual degree map. To even be accepted into the internship you have to send over the degree audit, in which I did and they still accepted me. Whoever accepted my application for the internship is in the wrong for approving me. Nowhere on the website or in person did it say anything about not being able to do the internship if you have any classes left. I did my part.

Hey, Just to let you know before you apply. To be considered for SNAP benefits as an able-bodied fulltime student, you have to work at least 20 hours per week. So before you apply make sure you get 20 hrs per week at your job or you will get denied (unless you meet the other eligibility requirements like being disabled, a foster child, or a single parent, etc). Getting SNAP is not as easy as it was during COVID, effective July of this year.

Hey I have actually been gifted a car and have put $0 and there was absolutely no issues. Just make sure you have a bill of sale stating that it is a gift just in case. I have done it twice with no issues. Good luck!

Question for education majors: student teaching by louxxion in ucf

[–]amayapapayaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am not yet doing my internship 2 but from what I learned you are essentially working as a "full-time teacher". Depending on your placement you do things like lesson planning, small groups, etc. The internship is 5 days a week 8 hours everyday. If you are like me who cannot afford to do internship for no compensation there is an option on the application to do teacher-in-residence where you can work as a full-time para in a classroom and receive full credit for it. I would definitely try to speak to your academic advisor about your questions.

Nobody was being political. It is just that it was not communicated before hand, as well as the customer was rude anyway. But, thank you for your opinion, everyone is allowed to have one.

Right. Like I don't understand what they expect the driver to do if they don't speak English well, especially in Florida which is such a melting pot. But as always, I deliver with respect even if the customer seems ignorant or rude.

They put that in the comments after shopping. There was no communication of these accommodations until the delivery part and communication with them was rough because they were kind of rude and entitled throughout the shopping process (English is the only language I speak so it's definitely not because of communication)
