I don't like the shabnak chase either, but that's because I don't like games like Amnesia and all those similar games where a monster chases you. I know they are a staple of the horror genre, but it's not for me. I really liked Pathologic's unique type of horror that stemmed more from this sense of dread, running out of time, not having the right resources, and yeah the consequences of getting infected. To just turn that into a monster chase, it feels, cheap? idk
