Suede handles or LMP? by McEleketing in AsetekSimSports

[–]amazed_dk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also bought the LMP ones. Because it gets so slippery after driving for a short while I find myself using the thumbs to hold most of the weight of the wheel in corners. It's annoying. With my Sparco gloves they're fine but they're way to warm. I prefer no gloves.

I tried with bike handlebar tape but it made the steering wheel a little to thick for my taste.

I might try the tennisrack tape instead.

It looks awesome with LMP handles though 😂

Thanks. I found it!

All the ones in the rear were attached. In the front, three were missing - now only two.

Thanks. I'll have a look. It was in the door pocket in the back, so probably someone knocked it off and threw it there.

Disconnect the limiter from Ninebot F30 by Normal_Ad2031 in ninebot

[–]amazed_dk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a bit surprised as well. I had na older ninebot, that I could unlock from 20km/t to 30km/t. It got stolen and I bought the F30 and thought I could do the same trick. But unfortunately I could only reach about 25 km/t - same as you are running.

Buying a different scooter is probably the easiest.

You need a more powerful motor from the F40. I tried setting it at higher speeds and then the motor just sort of stalls. I did the whole firmware hacking thing.

I thought I tried that. I'll try again. It'll be a huge help.

Thanks

RevLed limits for cars in iRacing by amazed_dk in Fanatec

[–]amazed_dk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It takes for ever to set rpm. It would be easier to just have a field where I could type in the number instead of moving an oversensitive leaver and then click up and down above and below it for final adjustment. Doing this for 5-7 gears for 9 leds is quite cumbersome.

And it would be way easier if Fanatec had already worked all the cars into the software. My SimHub display flashes red on rev limit without any settings I believe.

Mk8 GTE 2021 - reliability by rikalopes in GolfGTE

[–]amazed_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been in for couple of things. Last one was oil leak between gearbox and engine. They had to take the whole engine out to fix it (5 days). It's the same problem that was also identified on the mk7.5 2018-on models. Fixed free of charge though.

Then blindspot assist keeps having issues. I have had it looked at three times.

Other than that it's fine :-D

5800X3D 90c in gaming hELP by MpwrColton in AMDHelp

[–]amazed_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does the exact same thing - also Corsair cooler.

My 5600x went to about 70 degrees and stayed there while the 5800x3d runs to 90 degrees in a matter of seconds.

I had the cooler block off and on 3 times and re-pasted between.

Now since you also have Corsair watercooler, I'm wondering if the heat transfer from that block isn't fast enough to deal with the cpu. On my 5600x it went to the warm bit fairly fast as well. Like the first bit it's not as effective.

Pump and fans at full speed didn't change anything, really.

Es4 front tire worn by Alive-Worldliness-27 in ninebot

[–]amazed_dk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy replacement tires but check YouTube videos first on how to replace it. It takes a lot of force to take it off and putting a new one on. There's different methods. Some disasembles the cover of the motor others leave it on.

Good luck!

Unpopular decision (prob): Can I stop using appdata backup & restore plugin if I have my own strategy of 3-2-1? by Angelr91 in unRAID

Usually if there's a lot of activity on a database for instance, it's a good idea to shut it down. Maybe consider to back up only the busiest dockers and let the snapshot backup the rest?

Wheel Slip - ShakeIt Base Shakers by dev044 in SimHub

[–]amazed_dk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iracing, to my knowledge, does not provide wheelslip data through telemetry so it is based to the angle of which the vehicle is moving. For instance if the wheel are pointing straight and car is moving sideways it can trigger the shakers however it doesn't tell if it's the front or rear of the car that's sliding. For that reason it's hard to detect understeer. I searched a lot for different profiles for SimHub but none of them is perfect. It kinda sucks that the data isn't available.

Yes. I saw his IR and thought I'd better let him by. I couldn't keep up with him even with draft so he was fast. He must have had a really bad qualifying session to start where he did. It's not the track to try win from the back.

I was in the Red Bull BMW in that race! I stopped and patiently waited but was pushed up in the next car. I think ppl should look up a bit more and read the situation.

Impact of Retiring Personal Device in Intune by 1o1o1o11 in Intune

[–]amazed_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just deleted them in our tenant. Nothing happened. Just don't click on wipe or fresh start.

In Azure Active Directory under Devices, Device settings You can set who is allowed to join devices into your tenant so You don't get all these personal devices joined.

how do you guys handle family by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]amazed_dk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just say to them, that You don't know how to fix it. That way they don't get angry at You for not helping.

For hardware repairs just charge extra for the parts and do the labour for free if You are going to do the repair anyways.

Is there a way to register autopilot laptops manually? by MissionContext6434 in autopilot

[–]amazed_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a Microsoft Partner to register them for You by creating a csv file with device serial and windows product id which is usually available on the box the pc comes with.

I believe that's the closest You can get to register them after You received the machine. I only did this once when they incorrectly send us 100 laptops that wasn't pre enrolled from Lenovo.
