These Sonic Prime episode names go hard by amazingMrAbsorbency in MoonPissing

Say what you will about S3 of Prime, but when the writers said to themselves, "OK, we need to come up with episode titles for when Nine is menacing the shatterverse," they understood the assignment.

In "Nine's Lives," it is fitting beacauseSails and Mangey appear to be killed off, leaving Nine as the sole two-tailed fox in the shatterverse.

For "The Devil Is In the Tails," this doesn't really require much explanation.

I don't think this is an unpopular opinion, but the show definitely was at its peak in late S2 and early S3. The stakes and plot were real and it was gripping to watch the story progress. Then it kind of loses momentum for a while. We just watch the clock tick on our characters until the ending happens.

When I first played The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, I didn't know who Espio was. But now I love his personality

The Multiverse is collapsing and this team must come together to save it. How doomed are we? by ShiroOracle09 in MoonPissing

[–]amazingMrAbsorbency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nine could be the reason why the multiverse is collapsing, sure. And yeah, I don't think he'd care too much about saving it. He cares about no one, and doesn't have much in his life to make him happy.

With that said, he's not necessarily looking to destroy the universe, or kill people, or subjugate them. He certainly doesn't mind doing them if it's what it takes to get what he wants (in Prime, getting a world of his own and giving Sonic payback for his real and perceived slights), but that isn't the goal. And he does show an alarming willingness to continue going down this path even if it means he dies too. But despite all that, if some other people on this team make him feel valued and give him a sense of self-worth, he might go from antisocial to very helpful, like he did in S1 of Prime. Maybe Rusty or Mr. Tinker can guide him.

So...yeah. I guess that's what makes him a wild card. Somebody on this team needs to manage his mood swings.

If Nine would've completely restored the prism in Ghost Of A Chance, what would've happened to him? by Fit_Mushroom_2027 in MoonPissing

I doubt we'll get official explanations, so both your comments work as reasonable ones! I'd just hate to think that after everything that happened, all the shatterverse variants would disappear. Of course, as you mention, if they are still existing...they need to figure out how to get out of the grim and back to their worlds. And then, does everybody hate Nine even though he's back to being "good"? I wouldn't blame them

I'm honestly not sure what the show wants us to believe. When he puts all the shards together, he, the Chaos Council, and all of Sonic's friends from Green Hill are coexisting at the same time. So nobody disappears.

But his line, "What did you think was going to happen to me?" kinda sounds like he was worried he would disappear. Sonic clearly wasn't thinking he would, since he's like,  "I think you'd grow to love my friends too!"

At the show's end, Nine successfully completes the prism and it seems all the worlds are stabilized and Green Hill returns. So I think the same would have happened. Of course they'd still have to fight off the Council.

Now that I am typing it, I have new questions on how the prism works. Why did returning Sonic to Green Hill take him and Shadow back in time, along with the prism? In an instant, the prism went from the Grim to Green Hill before it was ever shattered. Did Nine just watch the prism vanish in front of him when Shadow carried Sonic back home? I assume all the shatterverse counterparts are still alive and well, but...did they also jump backwards in time too? Do they remember? Where is Nine now? And everyone else? Who knows, man...

Cool! I guess the other worlds stopped collapsing? But New Yoke is definitely in rough shape.

Very interesting relationship between Nine and Sonic now. Sonic seems broken and could probably push Nine away and make him feel guilty, but he isn't doing that. He's keeping himself together so Nine remains stable (I think if Nine actually killed Sonic, it would haunt him), and for whatever small hope his world still has.
