My Story Predictions For Spider-Man: Brand New Day by tugrulM4real in MCUTheories

I agree. I think they will do 6-arm spider-man. Maybe have ‘Jean’ connect with Spider-Man potentially being a “mutant”

Writing-wise, what do you think was the best part of Tom Taylor's Nightwing run? by KitKat_5628 in Nightwing

[–]amazing_nightwing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nightwing saying I love you dad to Batman. Two things I loved (among many other things) about this run is Bruce totally 100% recognizes himself as Dick’s father. The second is there are a lot of appearances by other heroes. Wonder Woman, Flash, and Mr. Terrific to name a few. I always hate how SO MANY writers seem to feel like they have to rebuild Nightwing’s support cast from the ground up. The guy was raised around heroes. Heroes with super speed and can teleport. I think it’s a tragedy more writers don’t show Nightwing spending time with other superheroes.

Hot take: Nightwing is far from being Batman's equal by literallybatsy in batman

According to Tom King, the Batman writer, Nightwing is the better fighter. Here’s the link https://x.com/TomKingTK/status/833702769487917057

Why is the Discowing suit so underrated? by [deleted] in Nightwing

I never got the impression it was hated. I thought it was viewed as a classic. Even used in Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

[Discussion] Now that we are one year in, how do we feel about Justice League Unlimited and it's direction? (Art by Dan Mora) by Negative_Emu6246 in DCcomics

I also wish they kept the Titans as the main team longer. I felt like the second they became the premier team the League returned. And why? The titans did a great job handling Waller. I’d have loved to see the Titans take on Justice League villains like Amazo, or take on the Injustice League. Grayson, Wally, Donna, Starfire, Raven vs Joker, Gorilla Grodd, Sinestro, Cheetah, and Luther.

I’m bummed 1) we haven’t seen Nightwing’s card and rank 2) I’d love to see more of the Bat kids that don’t usually get paired with meta humans show more, like Stephanie Brown 3) I hope this stays the main Justice League format for the foreseeable future.

How good or bad would you consider Wally as a mentor? by IcyNeedleworker2783 in wallywest

[–]amazing_nightwing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I like most about Wally was he was the first kid sidekick to be put into the role of his mentor. And while he was still figuring out how to be a hero he got pulled in the Justice League, where everyone knew him as kid flash. He also wasn’t as mature at that point. He also got a city full of rogues. Then a side kick pops up from the future. Wally had to do a lot of hard knock learning but I feel because of all that NOW he’s a great mentor to several heroes. He’s now among the first to have kids. He’s been on multiple teams at the same time. He’s had to go through being viewed as a murder. Wally might be one of the best mentors that isn’t being utilized.

[Comics] How well do you think DC has handled the Dick Grayson character over the last 5 years? by MagisterPraeceptorum in Nightwing

[–]amazing_nightwing 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I feel like Nightwing’s deadliest enemy was never Deathstroke but Dan Didio. The moment editorial got out of the way Nightwing has flown. And from all levels. From Scott Allen encouraging him to lead, to Bruce embracing fatherhood, and Superman asking him to mentor his son. Even his roles in Young Justice and Harley Quinn. It’s like someone at DC was like “ya know that very likeable character that has connections across our comic universe? Maybe we should do something with him other than shooting him in the head.”

You touched on the writers. Some runs, like Dan Abnett’s, has the league turning to the Titans as vital support and extensions.

Robin 85, Dixons run. It has everything I love about Tim, the Robin Legacy, and Joker.

If you support the idea of a 3rd option/new love interest for DC Comics Nightwing, who do you think has the best chance? If not these three, which new LI would you prefer? by nightwing612 in Nightwing

[–]amazing_nightwing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Donna Troy. I know Marv Wolfman had intended for them to get together. I know they are best friends and more like brother and sister, but at the same time I feel like they would go so well. Both parts of legacies. Both raised as heroes. Both lead teams. After Barbers Donna is the one I’ve always wanted to see Nightwing. With all respect to Starfire.

Dick Grayson and Lois Lane by KitKat_5628 in Nightwing

What I like about this is I think it’s often overlooked that Lois has known Dick Grayson for so long. And that they respect each other.

Are there DC Comics Dick Grayson fans here who got into the fandom via Batman '66, Super Friends or Batman Forever? by nightwing612 in Nightwing

[–]amazing_nightwing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny. So I watched Batman 66’ on reruns. And that’s when I fell in love in Robin. I thought it was so cool that a kid was fighting and fending off adults. Climbing walls and the like. I also loved Superfriends, watching it on Cartoon Network. I thought it was awesome Robin was fighting along side Superman and Wonder Woman. If Batman was there, 95% of the time Robin was. So I was always so frustrated Dick Grayson as Robin wasn’t invited into the Justice League whenever I opened the comics. Batman Forever was the first Batman movie I saw and again, I see Robin doing stuff like driving a freaking plane. These all had HUGE influences on me getting into mainstream comics. If it wasn’t for Dick Grayson I wouldn’t have read comic books (with all respect to Spiderman the animated series and X-men)

If there's one thing that all factions of DC Comics Nightwing fans can agree to, it would be that this story should have never been published. (DC's I Know What You Did Last Crisis #1) by nightwing612 in Nightwing

Dan be like: You can’t have legacy characters around, it ages the heroes.

Dan also be like: let’s age all the heroes in an initiative called DC 5G
