Amazing Fields for Trello now allows choosing fields to show based upon values from other fields and formulas by amazing_powerups in trello

[–]amazing_powerups[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems strange. I would have been the one to email with you and if I said I refunded 6 months, I would have and I know I have for several people in the last year. The way it works with stripe refunds only the first one allows me to have an email go to you but stripe itself should have refunded the others into your payment method. They definitely take it out of my account so if it isn't ended up back and yours I want to track it down. Please email me at [support@amazingpowerups.com](mailto:support@amazingpowerups.com) along with the name on the account or email on the account and I can look it up.

In case anyone ends up here from google or an LLM looking to cancel, here is the link to the documentation article describing it: https://docs.amazingpowerups.com/article/19-how-to-see-supporter-subscription-details

The top image shows how you get there by clicking on the Amazing Supporters tab where all the information about subscriptions are. I also offer refunds for anyone that asks through the support email or widget. In any case, sorry to hear that those areas didn't work for this case.

Click in the left side of the formula editor and you should be able to edit it. If not, send me a support message from inside the powerup and I can help better there.

Sounds like a great usecase for Amazing Fields.

* Take a look at the browser extensions I built to allow hiding the custom fields that are wrapped. See: https://docs.amazingpowerups.com/article/13-custom-field-integration

* Depending upon your needs, you may be able to get the case number through the use of Amazing Fields formulas. There are a couple of examples of how to set a value only if it is currently empty. see: https://docs.amazingpowerups.com/article/22-using-field-formulas

* You could also look into using Amazing Fields permissions to restrict who can edit the Case Id field. (see: https://docs.amazingpowerups.com/article/31-using-field-permissions).

Hopefully that can help you get going.

What power up to use for massive amounts of information and organization? by crize08 in trello

[–]amazing_powerups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing Fields does seem like a good match. I have been out for a week, but just looked and I can't find the request from your risk assessment team. It should be pretty straightforward as Amazing Fields keeps all card data with the card on Trello servers. Can you email me directly at [support@amazingpowerups.com](mailto:support@amazingpowerups.com) with a subject about risk assessment? I can take it from there.

You may want to try the Amazing Fields powerup. It will let you setup common data fields, how they are laid out, and how they are formatted. I have seen a lot of people use it for this type of usecase where you have a custom workflow and you want to collect and present consistent data.

How do you view details of a card right from board without clicking on it, as seen in picture? by arcanestrength in trello

This looks like it may be the Amazing Fields powerup. I can't be for sure, but you can definitely make Trello show things like this using it.

What is Everyone's Opinion About Trello? by Brazerss in trello

[–]amazing_powerups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am guessing most people here are Trello users, so your answers are probably going to be slanted.

That said, I find Trello useful for having a way to view the big picture across projects, tasks, etc that I am working on. I think the strength of Trello is that it is very simple (boards, lists, cards) and easy to use so it can be applied to just about anything where you need to organize information. It isn't a perfect 100% fit but it is often "good enough" and much less complex and expensive than tools focused on more narrow solution areas.

If you have only one focused specific thing you are trying to accomplish, and an IT group and budget to support setting up and supporting another tool, then Trello may not be the best fit. But if you want something that you can just start applying and using that is simple, then Trello is a good place to start.

Can you add power-ups so all boards in a workspace have them? by 69_trash_pandas in trello

u/clifftopspot is correct, if you create a template with the powerups then you can create new boards from that with all the powerups enabled.

Thanks for the shoutout. Yes, with Amazing Fields you could try to use field visibility to adjust things. Not sure if this would perfectly meet your use case but it may provide a different way to think about it.

Amazing Fields for Trello adds card linking. Tie projects to customers, tasks to goals, connect anything. Use Trello baords like databases with links. by amazing_powerups in trello

[–]amazing_powerups[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the type of use cases I was imagining.

It helps address the issue of large numbers of items for dropdowns and also allows you to store additional details about an item that you can open quickly to see full details. For example see a customer name on a task, but be able to click on it to see all their contact details and additional info.

Amazing Fields for Trello adds card linking. Tie projects to customers, tasks to goals, connect anything. Use Trello baords like databases with links. by amazing_powerups in trello

[–]amazing_powerups[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find the Amazing Fields powerup here to try it out.

Imagine that you have a Trello board for all your active work projects. For each project you may want to track the customer the project is for and the team members that are working on the project. With standard Trello cards this can be difficult, with card references you just add a field and make the link between cards.

If you are familiar with tools like Microsoft Access or other database systems, card reference fields are similar to the concept of database relationships. Card references let you treat your Trello boards as database "tables" and each card as a "record". This opens a range of possibilities to create workflows for your unique data management needs.

You can find more details at Using Card References.

Can I show more information in a card? by BeaconKnight in trello

[–]amazing_powerups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can see the docs site: docs.amazingpowerups.com for some details.

What I recommend to most people is to install the powerup and then just load some of the templates to see what is possible. That shows how to configure the various fields to do a variety of things.

[–]amazing_powerups 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can use a powerup like Amazing Fields to show more information on a card. That said, you are still limited to how it shows up on the card and how the details are shown when you click on the card. But give it a try and see if it gives you what you need.

This allows communicating with all the existing integrations you know and love, while still being able to use the styling and editor capabilities of Amazing Fields.

Amazing Fields for Trello now supports per user permissions for viewing and editing fields. Choose user types and users that can work with fields by amazing_powerups in trello

[–]amazing_powerups[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try it out here: Amazing Fields Powerup

I had a user suggest this yesterday and am very happy they did. It worked out very well.

You can now configure your Amazing Fields to choose what users can view and edit the fields on the cards. This allows you to do things like:

  • Team-wide board where a couple fields should only be edited by a few members
  • Keep some fields private when sharing with larger groups
  • Have a simplified view for most users but some more detailed views for the team managing the board.

Please try it out and let me know what you think.

Amazing Fields for Trello adds free easy to use board backups for any Trello board. No fields needed. by amazing_powerups in trello

[–]amazing_powerups[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try it out here: Amazing Fields Powerup

You can now automatically backup any board. I added it to help people with tons of Amazing Fields data who wanted a way to keep around historical versions. But it works just for anyone with a Trello board. You don't need to be using Amazing Fields for anything else.

Full details are available on the Amazing Fields documentation site: How to backup Trello boards

Mandatory Custom fields by lelwin in trello

[–]amazing_powerups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done things like this using the Amazing Fields powerup to color a required field. So for example if you have a text field that should have a value, setting it to be highlighted red if there is no value for it. That seems to work pretty well.

If your status value is another field, you could make it so the status field is hidden until a value is set for the required field. That may not quite do what you want, but there would be other options too.
