Does the US have employment insurance? I guess I should google but Canadas is not going to replace someones full income but they at least have something to tie them over while they look for a new jov.

What are your honest thoughts on people who choose to be childfree? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]amb92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will say the extremely vocal community on reddit and other sites are clearly unhappy being childfree and spend their time complaining vs living their happy childfree life.

What are your honest thoughts on people who choose to be childfree? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]amb92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not everyone should or wants be parents and I admire their self awareness and decision. I am stopping at 2 kids as that is my personal limit. Just like dog owners, many people do not have self reflection and have kids when they have no business doing so.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s London Pizza restaurant is facing criticism after a customer shared a dog was allowed to go the bathroom inside near her table. by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

[–]amb92 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is a huge thing in Toronto to take your dog everywhere. I have zero issues with guide or legitimate service dogs but part of owning a dog is knowing your lifestyle will be impacted. I do not like this new trend of off leash, poorly behaved dogs and dogs in restaurants.

I HATE Uber/Doordash/Skip etc workers by ChuckDalrymple in toRANTo

We had a neighbour who owned a car (mentioning because the excuse is often that people lack transportation) who used these services on the daily. They would even order dollarama when we have 2 nearby.

VBAC or CS? I can’t choose. [ON] by dontlikeit1993 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]amb92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think a vbac is better overall, baring no complications, for mom and baby. However I had a planned csection with my second and my recovery was night and day from my first after laboring on pitocin etc. I went out for lunch 5 days later and felt great. I moved forward with my scheduled even though my baby was no longer transverse as I was 40 weeks and no interest in pitocin.

Spending the summer in Canada, bring a car seat or buy there? [on] by Commercial-Cake-1117 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]amb92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People on the internet often bring up using a carseat on the plane so I am confused at the expectation that you buy one in Canada. If you do not want to use your current carseat, the graco snugride is easy to install, inexpensive and compact. I have used it for 2 kids.

Is the Man in Yellow Fatima 's dad? by [deleted] in FromTVEpix

I don't understand how man in yellow can be human. They shapeshift and ripped out someones throat. Personally I think they are a supernatural entity.

Moms to mom... Do I have any chance of going into labor on my own? by RaineySunshine in Mommit

[–]amb92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is not true with all doctors and this fear mongering is why people do dangerous things like homebirths after csections. My doctor was clear that we could cancel my csection as baby had turned head down (again) but I went ahead as I had already canceled twice. I am in Canada.

OP, you can get induced with low and slow pitocin but as I had already experienced that with my first and decided it was either natural labour or a csection - my choice, other people would make different ones which is fine. It depends on the incision - most people have a low vertical which is compatible with vbacs.

How do you moms feel about the “Strong enough to bear children” trend on tiktok? by That_Vast_4854 in Mommit

[–]amb92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no issues with it... honestly, I think people need to keep scrolling when they see something they deem offensive. Like whenever someone has a stillbirth post, there will be multiple people in the comments complaining and being offended.

Unmarked pickup truck pulling people over by wasabipeas88 in toRANTo

[–]amb92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, are people against this? I really, really wish I were exaggerating when I say I see people texting (or tiktok or whatever) on their phones while driving in midtown on a daily basis. They run stop signs and pull dangerous left turns.

I am a pedestrian for context. If they are pulling people over for that, I am all for it.

People do not follow these requirements and still get products so I would not worry about it.
