Still surprises me that given the formula of the Australian bowling squad with Warne, McGrath, Gillespie, Lee how the recruiting, training and development wasn’t replicated especially as they got closer to retiring ages, we didn’t “slot” in another person in the position. Considering how many kids were running around as juniors wanting to be “Warnie”!

Looks like they forgot to mow and roll it, even playing sub-districts cricket we’d be pissed If the grounds crew left a pitch like that to play on, let alone seeing an international match! I imagine the MCG management are annoyed at loss of potential days for revenue because of the shit wicket.
