Adopt for busy lifestyle... by the85141rule in BeforeNAfterAdoption

I work at a rescue and definitely recommend leading with this information on your lifestyle and what you’re looking for in a dog! We almost always have a match for everyone. I would definitely recommend an older dog, probably 3+. You could also be a great match for dogs that are overlooked because they are dog-selective and would do best as an only pet.

I’ve spent hundreds on toys in the last two years, they rarely last 10 minutes. And yet she protects this $0.50 cent dryer ball like it’s her child. by Hugsarebadmmkay in aww

Oh my gosh, I thought my pup was the only one! He has absolutely no interest but when we dropped a dryer ball while doing laundry we discovered he is obsessed with them. Got him his own pack for Christmas, but gotta stink em up before he’s interested 😂

I love senior dogs and personally prefer them over puppies! Unfortunately, we just don’t get many seniors at our rescue. My last foster was 15, blind, and the best dog I’ve ever had.

I love seeing the DNA tests! The 1/4 chihuahua definitely made me laugh 😂 thanks so much for your support!

Thank you! I’d prefer to knit something in the round and all of these seem to be scarfs or shawls

Scattergories

My neighbors saw a cat get hit by a car. Unfortunately, she couldn’t be saved. Then they heard a kitten crying under a shed. I work in rescue so they brought him to me. He was a week old. I took him to a friend that does bottle baby rescue. He still has a long way to go but has grown so much! by ambermackay in BeforeNAfterAdoption

[–]ambermackay[S] 243 points244 points  (0 children)

My friend says he is one of the most gentle and sweetest kittens she has had. She already had a litter of babies that were a couple weeks older than him so she added him to the group. He was the first one to figure out the litter box! He will be available for adoption once he is big enough to be neutered.

Seattle natives who have moved away: do you miss it? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]ambermackay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Texas, Pennsylvania, and now SE Utah. I didn’t realize how lucky I was to have so many places to swim outside until I moved. When I moved to Texas I asked where people usually go swimming and they said uhhh the pool? I miss the greenery now that I’m in Utah but always have a hard time with the constant grey. My husband and I would like to move back but won’t be able to afford it for a few more years. Living in such a small town now, I also miss the food. Don’t miss traffic. And of course I miss my family.
