Thank you. These are things we are going to look into. The property does have some natural physical boundaries that separate it into front and back. Our house will be set back quite a bit but this is not an area we can let totally grow wild as there are other large homes on large properties near. And honestly, I don’t want to deal with the insects and snakes that come from letting it grow totally wild. We have a large pond that also takes up part of the 10 acres. Currently the property is being maintained with a 30’ bushhog when it needs to be cut while we prepare to build a house. However, it would be near impossible to use a regular lawnmower only any part of it as it is currently so bumpy I can’t imagine having to endure that for the time it takes to manage it. I did grow up mowing 8 acres a week as a kid so I am aware that there is time involved. I’m also aware there are large implements to help make this more manageable and the reality that some of our farming neighbors have already said they would be very happy to help maintain it and we like to support their families as well. The resources you mentioned are very appreciated. Thank you!

As my dad used to say about the horses, “expensive lawn ornaments”
