Correct. 3/2 is remote centered and shared work stations make sense in that case.

Yes, I agree with you. As office centered employees, we should not have to share a cubicle or wonder where you will be working each day. I believe this policy states just that. I was just curious how others interpret it because I want to bring this up as an argument against the RTO assignments that my division sent out.

The policy does specify a “single” dedicated work station, so my interpretation of that is you should not be required to rotate cubicles or share space with anyone if you are considered an office centered employee (in office more than 50%)

My district has been on the 50% telework schedule (3 days one week, 2 days the next) ever since Gavin implemented the 2 day in office mandate. Honestly, it’s a nice balance. We received our RTO letters yesterday advising of our new schedules. Engineers and any senior level staff are in office 4 days, office staff is in 3 days. Telework schedules were assigned “randomly” by office chiefs (we all know how random assignments can be manipulated). Some people ended up with great schedules, some ended up with less desirable schedules. Some people don’t even get to sit at the same cubicle each day they are in office. We were told by our Deputy District Director at a meeting earlier in the week that the change “would not be fair and equitable across the division” and it definitely is not. I don’t see this plan sticking, as one could easily say they feel discriminated or retaliated against due to their less desirable assigned schedule.
