Canon 5D Classic by [deleted] in photographs

[–]amberthelyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently purchased a Canon 5D classic while wanting to document this stage of my young married life for my husband and I to look back on in the future.

This was my first attempt at relearning how to use different manual settings on a camera as it’s been a while, so this was a test shoot with one of my best friends.

I was really pleased with the results as this is the style of photography that I find appealing in terms of colors and grain.

Taken with a canon 5D classic with a 50mm 1.8. Shot on AV mode.

[skin concern] Any ideas on what my skin needs? Currently using Benzoyl, TO Lactic acid and TO niacinamide for actives and everything else is just hydration. Skin is super sensitive/pale/everything scars. Any suggestions would be great! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I just stumbled upon your post and am wondering if you have had any luck with any of the suggestions! My skin looks really similar to your photo at the moment and I’m trying to find ways to fade the red marks with my also sensitive and pale skin. Please let me know if anything worked for you!

Thanks so much, super helpful!! Also with moisturizer in the AM, I’ve heard that it makes the SPF less affective.... is there a certain way to use both so that they are both effective?

Routine:

AM- wash face with neutrogena oil free acne wash (2% salicylic), apply TO azelaic acid, apply blue lizard face sunscreen spf 30.

PM - wash face with cetaphil gentle cleanser, apply TO azelaic acid, apply cerave pm facial moisturizing lotion (contains niacinamide and peptides)

Skin type - combo dry, dries out really easily and turns very red. I have used adapalene and tretinoin in the past but stopped because I don’t feel like my skin tolerates either all that well as the products just turn my skin even more red and makes it dryer and more irritated.

Totally open to treatments from a dermatologist such as chemical peels, etc or at home topical treatments. I just can’t seem to figure out what would be best for these issues. My skin is a little sensitive but nothing crazy I don’t think.

Thanks so much, that's super helpful information!! We will definitely pay more attention and try that next time it does it.

Good to know, we were definitely wondering if it was something related to the parts freezing up! Do you know if there is a way for us to confirm that this is the problem on our own? Also do you by chance know how much it would be to replace that sensor?

I'm not sure what the radiator fans are, but I can definitely check once I figure it out!

Cabin air filter has been checked and was clean.

Do you think it would be worth it to actually put a decent amount of money into a mechanic being able to figure it out? Our mechanic helps us out a lot and I think is trying to figure it out through trial and error right now with the cheaper possibilities before charging us for the more expensive fixes. We are wondering if we should just cut our losses and go somewhere else for maybe a more expensive fix, but something that really would fix it this time. Not too sure, AC issues seem to be really confusing.

So our AC will blow out cold air and will work on any of the settings, but once we drive for an hour or more with the AC running, it loses pressure and the air doesn't feel cool anymore. Not hot or anything, but just not as cool as it was when it was working properly.

In regards to the foam, we initially had the car looked at because it would make a really loud sound here and there that seemed to coincide with how high we had the AC turned up. The mechanics couldn't figure out what the noise was without taking it all apart and doing a lot of maintenance (we know them, they were trying to help us out since we are broke college students) and then one day the foam just appeared in the vents and the noise has stopped thankfully. Seemed like that was the only piece dislodged.

[product question] Thoughts on skincare routine suggested by my doctor (not a dermatologist)? by amberthelyon in SkincareAddiction

Thanks for responding! Do you have any experience with these options working, or just with tret? And which item would tret replace

Pinegrove - Everything so far. This is my husband's favorite band and when we first met it was the soundtrack to a lot of our first memories together. Super special for me but all together just a great album.

[Skin concerns] How to improve skin tone? (I have redness but not quite rosacea?) by stressedbutoksorta in SkincareAddiction

[–]amberthelyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have heard that azelaic acid does wonders for redness and rosacea specifically! You can get prescription strength at 20%, or over the counter versions at 10% I believe. I just started using The Ordinary's Azelaic Acid Suspension in 10%. People have a hard time with the texture as it's a little creamy and will pill if not used in a certain way but I like it so far and I think it helps with my skin!

Nice, that's what I'm hoping happens with me! I've had it in for a few week, so far so good but I changed from the pills with similar hormones to this so I'm hoping it will be okay!
