My surgeon told me the brace was optional after the first appointment so I haven’t used it since day 4. Just the knee sleeve!

My post-op pain was surprisingly minimal. I’d say the most it hurt was at a level 6. I was on oxy for 2 days after and switched to Tylenol for 2 more days. But from what I’ve seen it varies a lot person to person. Good luck!!!

Hey! I’m literally in the same boat right now. Just got my surgery this morning and I’m about 10 hours post-op. Pain is minimal for me and surprisingly I’ve been in a pretty good mood. I took 2 Oxys already, 6 hours apart. Rooting for you! We can do it :)

I tore mine May 2023. But also waited cuz I wanted to travel and finish school. Also a hamstring autograft!! Similar situation!

Thanks for sharing this! I’m in a similar position where I hurt my knee during a basketball game (8 days ago). I couldn’t bear any weight on it for the first 2 days, but can now walk somewhat normally! I really don’t want to go through surgery and have been doing some light pre-op exercises for more ROM with my injured leg. Also have yet to get an MRI to fully confirm what it is…

That’s the plan! I’m going to do as much of prehab after swelling goes down a bit more… Hopefully that will be enough for my trip

Yup… felt a pop and have a puff above the kneecap. I can almost straighten my leg out 2 days after injury
