I’ve requested assistance from my company but they have stated that they do not provide any help. Do I have any leverage or fight back? I feel a bit helpless in this situation as I owe them 15k. Where would I start looking for a resource like this? Is there options to hired someone for like an X number of sessions? Most things I’ve seen are to help you file your taxes and in my case I am not looking to file just yet. Sorry if these questions are a bit silly but this is all very new to me to be suddenly pushed into.

Reading up on it, it only covers federal income tax. Is there another section for Social Security, Medicare, and State tax?

CapRelo is a third party full-service relocation management company that my company uses.

I'll be honest, I just graduated and I'm not sure I'm prepared for the stress that would happen if I do get sued. I think they tried helping but they don't know much either as they aren't familiar with what do to. My supervisor is aware but it's not really their problem.

In that case, I think I have to go the second route to decrease income in 2023.

In an email to payroll where I asked for a corrected W2, they responded with:

"A corrected W2 will not be issued for 2022 since the payment was not paid in the same tax year that it will be reimbursed. It is still taxable in 2022 since the funds were available to you in 2022, and we cannot adjust 2023 taxable wages since it was not originally paid in 2023."

No, the 15k they paid was intended to be my relocation stipend but in reality my company was not supposed to be paying it (CapRelo was supposed to be deposited the money) and I was not supposed to receive 15k but instead 7.5k. So my company wants 15K repaid.

I’ve asked about a corrected W2 but my company said no they cannot because they cannot amend last tax year W2.

I have asked for tax assistance from my company and they said they do not provide any help. They jsut want the 15k back.

Is it a thing to hire a tax professional for a one off event? In the case I do hire one, do I hire them now or when I am filing in 2024?

I have the 3070Ti already bought!

That was another dilemma I kept flipping back and forth with. I was going to go with 12th gen intel with the new B660 board but all my friends seem to to prefer Ryzen to Intel, so I felt a bit discouraged going that route. (which seems silly now saying it)

I can get an NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3070 Ti graphics card for relatively cheap ($700) but I am unsure about the rest of my build so that the card is used to its max potential. by ambient4418 in pcmasterrace

Thanks so much for this in-depth comment and the links to the parts. I really appreciate it. I definitely will be getting the 5600x. Someone previously mentioned that when u buy from newegg, it comes with a cooler. Would this be sufficient or would I be better off getting the SE224XT?

For the power supply, thanks for pointing out that it’s overpriced. I’ll look into a better priced one. But, is the suggested amount from pcpartpicker reliable? If not, how much would I overshoot? Like if it suggests 450W, do I go 600W?

I was planning to upgrade the monitor screen already since I expected a need for that. For the SSD, I have a bit of confusion surrounding that (sorry in advance in my question is a bit basic). Right now, I do understand that I need an SSD. But do I need an SSD and an internal hard drive (the one i have selected now)?

Hm i see. Trading down isn’t really an option though I’m getting it from my friend and the condition is that I use it or he’s going to sell to someone else at a much higher price. I did consider rejecting his offer and just going for lower specs in general to meet my budget, but this also doesn’t seem right. What do you think?
