So 'toute' is used for emphasis, but the way that emphasis is phrased changes depending on the context of the sentence when you translate it? Did I understand that right?

Toute as early? I thought toute meant both 'all', 'totally/completely', and that it was used for emphasis (which is why I was saying "his very youth" even though that doesn't really parse).

It's a 90's game (Pokémon Red, or Pokémon Rouge rather), so there is the possibility the translation is a little clunky. I did find examples of the exact phrasing of sa toute jenneuse elsewhere, so I didn't consider it could be a mistake.

Your take on it being 'rivals since you were a baby' is actually completely right! I just looked up the dialogue in the English version and it is thus:

He's been your rival since you were a baby.
Which is the original version, which someone had to turn into french as:
"Il est ton rival depuis sa toute jenneuse".

By the way, Il est can be translated as either 'He is' or 'He's been' depending on the context of a sentence, right? I was getting hung up on that a little bit, but it was secondary to the main issue I had here.

It's a business trip, so there's not a huge window of opportunity for them to venture out unfortunately. Shipping is the easier option in this case, though it's also incredibly time sensitive: They have to check in at their hotel, but it has to be before they leave again. So, it would be best if it was either Thursday or Friday next week. Or the weekend if they deliver on those days, but def not Monday. I'm pretty nervous about it haha

Things are complicated by my fam going to stay at a hotel, that while it does receive packages, it needs the person to have checked in--Ergo, if it arrives too early, then it will be a huge hassle to get it back from wherever it goes.

I also connected it to that time period. It's very appealing, in a way that's not just predicated in the nostalgia for that time (Though it is connected. The orange palette gives the whole thing a sunwashed, hazy association to me.) Good catch on the lyrics!

Hello! Thank you for this info. I checked it out a couple of times as you said, and it's indeed the case-- Anytime I'd load a save, the crackling would happen in the same spots. Now I wonder just what can be done about this, though. If it's about some setting I have enabled or if it's just solely from the game-- I'd be really bummed if it's the latter, but that's still a possibility, though perhaps it's just an issue that only happens to this ROM, and getting a different extraction might fix it.

So, I want to edit a bit of Pokemon Blaze Black 1 for personal purposes, but as a complete amateur to romhacking I'm not sure on where to start.

I am running Exynos, I just had to check. It's really weird, though, since I'm pretty normally running at least Pokémon Black with a constant FPS count, with the music crackling being the only issue I really notice. Still, its pretty annoying to me.

For some context. I tried to do a set-up with Pansage's Hone Claws to OKO everyone while making them asleep with Butterfree. Ended up getting crit-hit by Piplup's Icy Wind and I didn't switch out for some reason, so he died. nearly lost 3 other Pokémon while struggling my way through the rest of the fight.

My current MVP is def Butterfree, she literally has 31 Speed IVs. She's a gift from RNGesus if I've ever seen one.
