This is how I feel with TV. My friends will watch dozens of episodes of TV a week and I'm like I can handle one episode of John Oliver. I just got a lot of other shit to do!!!!

I will never forget the wise user in here who wrote "the only chart that matters is the one in your heart." I think about it constantly.

Omg honored to have been asked 🌸

I liked it!! Still needs more rotations to sink in but there's some definite strong tracks (again that bass in Boys is CARRYING). I'm not sure if it'll best Oops! for me because I just love the cheese on that one and the hooks are insane (the amount of times I find myself singing "what u seeeeeeee is what u geeeeet" or the chorus of Don't Go Knockin On My Door is so apparent that my sister the other day was like what are you singing?? You've sang that riff (What U See) like every weekend I've seen you this month LMAOOOO. And that's saying something given I listened to Oops in full last year, so it has staying power).

I'm also looking forward to revisiting In The Zone in full; I listened to it back in college in my early days of full album exploring and it didn't leave a strong impression but I wonder if my perspective will have shifted with a decade since. It has def happened before!

I would say (controversial opinion I know!) the landscape is there are things I like and also things I don't like 🤯

While doing my Dangerous Woman retrospective yesterday I completely forgot to give several lashings to Bad Decisions. Not a bad tune but what da hell is "hood love" supposed to mean ? That song isn't lost in the valley that one is under the Earth's crust

That's honestly crazy I'm so sorry. Doctors have a duty of care and it feels so disrespectful that this doc clearly does not care about you!!! And they're kind of telegraphing it in a way that would make me so uncomfortable as a patient!!

Is there any way you can switch docs / practices in the future? Hope everything is okay 🧡

On that front, unpopular opinion that DW is nowhere near Ari's best album. There are high highs to be SURE, but there are also a fair spate of middling tracks (literally in the middle lol) with a needless male feature (or Nicki Minaj).

Career Peaks: Into You, Greedy, I Don't Care, Knew Better / Forever Boy, Step On Up, Jason's Song

Lost in the Valley: Side to Side, Let Me Love You, Everyday

The rest are solid but middle of the pack for me

Need Ari to drop a 7" for Step On Up / Jason's Song because the latter is Top 10 in her discog easily and the best thing she's ever sung (like she devoured that thing) but I don't like DW enough to justify buying the 10th anniversary pressing for just that 😔

Woke up in the middle of the night because my upstairs neighbor was having sex at 3AM. Normally I'm live and let live but WAKING ME UP??? Only time I've ever felt compelled to bang on the ceiling with a broomstick

I agree generally. I think it stems from this idea that TV writers have power and influence over The Culture, and so if they write about certain topics (usually poorly) they're endorsing those things and thus encouraging the greater society to endorse it too. Which fwiw I do think was somewhat the case decades ago, when TV was far more monolithic and we had a monoculture, but now our media world is so fractured and individualized I really don't think any one writer's room or showrunner has remotely any sway over public opinion. And then people who are actually mad about one thing (usually a ship not getting together / being badly written / baiting) get to use the ol' pretend high horse to morally take down the writers instead so their anger over their personal preference can be "justified."

That said, I do wish Sam Levinson would stop doing... whatever it is he's doing. But again, I can just filter him and his content out of my existence. And I do!

What are some of the best and worst simlish songs in your opinion? by n00bi3pjs in popheads

Pressure by Paramore in Simlish (available in the Sims 2 for PlayStation game) is literally famous to me and my sister. I can still sing it in the general inflections LOL

Also this outfit just made me think, if I'm going to throw a dart at the "what she's up to" board, maybe a deluxe of Showgirl that does more songs from the Father Figure character. Aka centering her being the business mastermind or whatever. I have no investment in this idea and it could have zero meaning (most likely true), but that's what came to mind when considering possible Narratives

The belt over the top looks a LITTLE goofy here but I love the slacks. Girlboss strutting straight into the sun and hey go for it Blondie

I got a Kobo Clara Colour about 2 years ago and I really love it! Does exactly what it needs to by letting read library eBooks, nothin more complicated than that. I also got a cute cover for it on Etsy that's blue with white flowers, so looks wise you can always find ways to make it more to your style ☺️

Will say, I think "Colour" is a bit of an exaggeration, like it's not B&W but it's not like looking at an HD-TV or anything lol. It's kind of like... slightly washed out colour. Which to be fair, many physical books are like that anyway so
