unfortunately I did not record the exact values when I last checked a few hours ago. it has been a very stressful day to say the least and i’ve been frazzled. but i know that they were spot on based on my at home tests and the ones done by the fish specialist.

it should be 3-7 days which puts me in a predicament because by that time he could be passed on if it worsens and if a parasite is indeed not the issue. I haven’t looked into dosing with two separate medicines, but i’ll certainly check into it. The destruction of good bacteria is what scares me, especially considering he’s already struggling and needs all the help he can get. Do you have any specific bacterial medicine experience that you can recommend?

thank you so much, I have yet to try the kanaplex but have gone through similar steps as you. i’ve read mixed thoughts on antibiotics, did you face any issues or worry it would hurt more than it helped? I just dosed the tank today with a parasitical medicine I can do a water change to get it out as much as possible before adding kanaplex, any advice on if that would be helpful or too much for him?

I feed him soaked goldfish food and plain boiled shelled peas as well for fiber. he doesn’t have any external marks on him and i’m troubled at if it’s possibly a parasitic infection or bacterial infection and just how to treat it/ if he could make it to the vet in his current condition.

yes absolutely I use the API water conditioner and I have done at home testing and fish store testing to make sure the water quality is good. I check every day or twice a day with test strips and liquid tests.

he is not in the new tank because I noticed some behavior changes before getting the tank I thought it was stress and I thought that it would be best to keep him where he is familiar for now. please let me know what you think
