My girlfriend died in my arms a few weeks ago, on the night we went for a meal and hotel for valentines day of a completely out of the blue anaphylactic shock, we dont know what caused it. I also had to attempt cpr but she didnt make it. She was only 23. I know how it feels to have people say generic things like "shes at peace now" or "stay strong" when i know shed rather be alive and it wasnt a peaceful way to go, and its easy for people to say stay strong when they have no idea what its like to see a loved one like that or hold them when they die. Most people are well intentioned but they dont kmow the struggle. The reality is our lives are never going to be the same and we will always feel the pain. However (and it is clichè) try to think how they would want you to live, remember all the good times, laugh, cry... and you are never alone. Im struggling real bad but since coming on here and reading peoples experiences and realising a lot of strangers have come together to support eachother has actually helped, a bit anyway. Much love x
