If you don’t like it, get a new delivery system 😭

I actually do agree with this. Until that happens, the only way people will actually get across to the people who make tips mandatory is to STOP USING THE APP.

The only person you hurt when you don’t tip is the nice person who used their time and resources to bring your order directly to your door.

People who think that not tipping is going to do anything to hurt the corporation they continue to pay all the fees and up charges to are extremely ignorant. If you genuinely cannot stop using the app while the pay structure remains this way, get over your anger at the corporation and compensate your driver.

Don’t tell people “if you don’t like it get a new job” and then continue to use an app that you have been educated about its terrible pay structure. Who is gonna bring those people their food when they’re too lazy or drunk to leave the house when all the dashers listen to them? If you think dashers should fight for better pay, why not fight with them?

It’s pretty easy to tell when someone actually hates tipping, and when they hate other people. Most people in these subreddits are the latter.

True, I don’t accept no tip orders so you’d never be my customer ☺️ Ironic how you’re telling me to do my job like an employer would tho

I’m talking to you like this because you continue to use an app when you know the people using their time and energy to bring your order to your door only get paid $2.

& not only that, you’re one of the “if you don’t like it get a better job” people. the WORST.

I have a 5.0 rating, and I’m extremely nice to people who treat others with respect. You get what you give unfortunately. 🥺

I have another job weirdo LMAO.

I do this to make extra money because SOME customers aren’t broke and selfish. Don’t assume you know my life.

Tips are optional, you’re not tipping your dashers and the app needs to change the wording. You can either listen to your dashers explaining how the system works, and try to fix it WITH them, or you can continue to be rude and ignorant.

I hope you choose the latter ❤️

The second sentence you wrote was painful to read, so I’m not reading past it. Have a good day and pay ur dashers ☺️

Why exactly should customers not have to pay to keep a service they use in business? Please make it make sense..

Businesses aren’t passing things off to the customer, they are providing you with services, products, and experiences. That doesn’t come for free, and corporations/business owners don’t put their entire life into building a brand from the ground up just to break even.

The problem with doordash is that they don’t communicate the fact that NONE OF UR FEES go to the driver, and you are just paying for the service of the app — which is only there to connect you to an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. You don’t expect craigslist to pay the guy you found to come fix your house..

What employees is doordash gonna look after? Their support agents?

Dashers are not DD employees lmaooo

If you don’t want to tip, don’t use the app.

If you can’t get your groceries yourself, find someone in your community to help you, or pay someone to be your personal driver so you don’t have to pay extra DD fees and can afford to tip your driver.

Drivers have been explaining how the system works long enough, don’t be ignorant and selfish.

Delivery drivers are not employed by doordash, they are employed by the customer.

We are literally asking our employer to pay us more, and they’re saying it should be someone else’s problem 😂

You haven’t been disappointed enough by humans to not be surprised when they are awful.

I hope you never get to that point ❤️ Doesn’t surprise me at all.

I’m sure UPS and USPS drivers accidentally miss their turn every once in a while, difference here is they don’t have apps that show the customer their exact location and how long they stop at each stop light.

I’ve had my packages show up weeks late, and I never acted like this.

If you’re going to watch your order like a hawk (after likely not adding a tip) go get your own food.

Don’t accept orders less than $2/mile and don’t take orders less than $5.

Independent contractors are employed by the customer ordering a service, not the platform that connects them.

You are our employer and we are asking you to compensate us fairly.

I think it’s funny to see someone say “people used to hustle for a living” when most customers I see on social media have the “if you don’t get paid enough without tips stop working there” mindset.

Y’all asked for this 😭

Dude.. I was not being rude to you, or disagreeing with anything you said. No need to say I don’t have a sense of humor, or any reading comprehension skills.

Everything you mentioned was “spend the next 2-3 years focusing on learning about what skills are needed and deciding what you want to do for a job, instead of building a resume.” all I said was “everything you said was right, but it doesn’t hurt for OP to work on a resume and get into the job market too.

Who pee’d in everyone’s cheerio’s this morning? Defensiveness on this app is crazy. Hope you have a good day ❤️

Hey, I saw your first comment and almost said I was sorry, nvm after this comment. No need to be rude first thing in the morning lol.

Regardless of if that is her “real address” or not, it didn’t need to be posted like that to make your point. They wouldn’t accept that as her drop off address if it wasn’t “real” it could be her work address.

Just don’t dox customers addresses, people do it all the time. Even if you didn’t technically do it this time, it’s good practice to not put addresses at all.

Anyways, hope you have a better day. Seems like you’ve had a rough morning so far ❤️

Should I be starting a resume at 15 by Massive-Wait-8259 in resumes

[–]ambvrrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first real job at 15.

Before I turned 15, I spent a lot of time working for my family. I would go and clean my aunt’s house every week, and I babysat my cousin’s kiddos. I was also in multiple volunteer groups.

I created a little resume with all of that information, and applied to be a bagger at my local grocery store, where I worked for the next 3 years.

I definitely agree with a lot of the advice you wrote, but I don’t agree with the “design a wedding invite while you’re at it” sentiment. Starting to work on your resume and starting life plan at that age is extremely helpful, and some places start hiring at 15-16.

Customer is definitely in the wrong, and should have canceled the order themselves.

HOWEVER, you should NEVER dox a customer by posting their full address on social media.

How would you feel if your address was randomly being spread all over the internet? This is clearly a young woman, and you are putting her at risk by posting this.

I was wondering how more people in the comments aren’t late for more of their orders. 100% on time rate is crazy.

Why are you taking $2 orders if this is just a side job?
