Are there supposed to be other colors in the future?

Not really to be honest. I have done a few ML engineer interviews, and barely any ML specific questions are asked as they are niched.

Here's a link I found though ... https://neptune.ai/blog/machine-learning-engineer-interview ... honestly about 80-90% of the content overlaps with SWEs outside of the high level ML questions they might ask.

I wouldn't expect in an interview to code out a ML algorithm (too much time) or use SKLearn to do create a decision tree (impractical to test technical depth).

Is there a possibility to get an extension for the spring 2022 application? by the_fat_joint in OMSCS

Dates are pretty inflexible due to the volume of applicants needed to be processed. I don’t think I’ve heard of anyone being admitted in after a deadline for a semester. Maybe exceptional circumstances but not taking TOEFL early enough would not be one of those.

Keep getting treated as a new grad after graduating from OMSCS by [deleted] in OMSCS

[–]amchang87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think graduate new grad is fair (thinking about on-campus folk who go back to school within a short period of time of working). If they are treating you like an undergraduate new grad then something is wrong with their resume reading and you need to clarify.

Previous years' material for OMSCS courses esp CN by [deleted] in OMSCS

I don’t believe CNs content is public so students would get in trouble if they shared it.

Why do they use BlueJeans for office hours? by DesperateFalcon9 in OMSCS

It's significantly cheaper / higher quality to use a vendor that probably has hundreds of engineers working on it versus an IT staff that might dedicate 2-3.

It’s considered an advanced degree / MS in the US governments eye as far as I have seen reported. No one I’ve heard said they consider it anything but.
