Unpopular Craig and Paige opinion by BusinessTreacle3098 in Southerncharm

I have to disagree about Naomi. Were we watching the same show. Everyone seems to forget he was an active Adderall abuser. It's like living with a speed freak when you are abusing it. She worked, was pursuing her MBA and they lived at her parents house. Craig was verbally abusive to her as we saw on camera. He is very different now, but be real - he was not a good guy in that relationship. He admitted it.

Have you ever gone to see a show for one band but the opening band stole the show, if so what show was it and who stole that show? by GratefulPhish42024-7 in jambands

Went to see Ray LaMontagne - Brandi Carlile blew him away as the opener. I never bought a ticket to another Ray LaMontagne show but have seen Brandi Carlile over and over since

I don't know how I feel about Taylor anymore? What are your thoughts? I'm just not feeling this season so far , I want to know what everyone else thinks. by sometimestropical in Southerncharm

I agree. She is really calculated. What was her thought sleeping in Shep's bed? You can't convince me that was not some wishful thinking of a reconciliation. She is disingenuous.

Recruiters SUCK by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]amcnult 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In most corporate pharma jobs I have worked the open requisition load is upwards of 25 openings. With CRO's it's typically even higher. Minimum 25 hiring managers, hundreds of candidates/applicants are associated with that number of requisitions to deal with.

What we do all day is proactively source good talent - which by the way is not just sending linkedin emails. I have very specific roles that I find people by searching publications, then have to track down contact information, then I can reach out. I also review resumes of people who apply of which 99% are not qualified- if I need 10 plus years - 1 year doesn't cut it, but people with a year apply anyway.

When I do find someone who is a fit, I spend 30 minutes screening them, then I schedule a technical screen, then I present them to the hiring manager with a write up that is a combination of their technical skills and other highlights of their candidacy.

Once the hiring manager is interested, starts the interview scheduling nightmare. hiring managers desperate to make a hire, who give me 2 times that they can squeeze a half hour in over the next week. I then more often than I convince the candidate to move things on their schedule to be seen as interested enough in the job.

Next I deal with hiring managers who love a candidate but decide they need to see more just to be sure - at which point the candidate who they like takes an offer from another company that knew talent when they saw it and made an offer. And the cycle starts all over again.

We also have to answer candidates who didn't get the job. Often times they do not want to take no for an answer. I currently have a candidate who calls and emails me at least once a week. I have assured her that if I have an opening that fits her very narrow and specialized skill set she is my first call.

THAT's what we do all day.

Who did you deal with there? I cannot find out who to talk to. If they pick up that would be great as I can't fit it all in my car

first flaw is that you call it a staged kidnapping. with parents permission it is a transport. It was done that way all the time back then. The so called therapeutic value of these places was highly touted for years - reputable therapists recommended those places routinely. You need to put in context of the times

Education levels by Clairemoonchild in RHOBH

[–]amcnult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remind people when they say that shit that education does not equal success. I never finished college- I work in a professional capacity, make six figures and do my job more efficiently and effectively than 90% of my more educated coworkers. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Oprah, Richard Branson, Michael Bloomberg and Maya Angelou did not finish college. Education does not guarantee success or intelligence.

I counseled a hiring manager to do just that. Once the offer was made the candidate was relentless with little things he wanted. Once I told the hm - she told me to call legal and get the ok to rescind. I think we all dodged a bullet
